    Since it returned to the show scene two years ago it is a bit smaller in the amount of trade stands but a good day out for a tenner.

    Check to see if the carpet smells of coolant,if so it may be the rad behind dashboard,or one of the hoses that go to it.

    If its a door seal , spray the door with a hose to see of water gets through or it could be the roof leaking. put some clean kitchen roll on the inside when you use the hose pipe and it will telll you where its coming from. If its neither of these it must be coming up from the floor, or your radiator under dashboard may be leaking.

    I think it releases the back seats ,so they push down towards the front seats.

    Might sound stuipid but was the fuel you put in the problem,was it diesel ? Or was the fuel contaminated ?

    The power steering on mk5 cab is good for parking the car,but at speed is very light not like modern cars.

    Have seen a couple of mk4 escorts fitted as opptional extra at the time of manufacture ( I think the parts were Peugeot ) I have a mk4 cab and rs turbo,and a mk5 cab with power steering,I would have to say mk4 without power steering drives much better.

    Is it possible someone has changed the seats from another car,do the front seats tilt forward so that rear passengers can get into the back. We broke a mk6 cab recently and someone had changed the front seats in that. ( they did not tilt forward)

    Depends on how much you want to spend,to make it worthwhile the money it would cost would be better to put a 2 litre engine strait in. Changing filters and exhaust manifolds and removing the cat converter will make it sound faster but gives very marginal increases in performance,having head gas flowed would help but again very expensive. Second hand two litre cheaper from a mondeo or focus.

    Anyone wanting to do this show,it's a pay on admission which also includes free entry to the motor museum and top gear world,perhaps the best value show of the season.

    I can't get anything now m8,best advice is to call the booking line or see what deals they are doing online. It's all changed on booking vans now and I can't get quantity discounts.
