  1. I bet the temptation is there lol
  2. Your work shows you care about what your doing rather than the money ( like me) excellent work although the colour scheme is a personal thing and not what I would have, it still is a top job well done.
  3. You live and learn, the good thing is that you have achieved a piece of quality work and have that on your cv for the future.
  4. Amazing detail,I don't think to many people would take that on. One or to I have spoken to won't even touch door cards.

Easily done, done it myself many times. Look forward to seeing the results.
  6. Looking factory fresh m8,well done, bet you are pleased with it.
  7. Looks a good bit of engineering that stu, they seem to know what they are doing.
  8. Welcome. Turn key to position one (not ignition on) no need to touch windows. It wont work any other way. If it still not working listen to here if it is humming, the pump is in the boot. If no noise it could be a fuse, again in the boot normally. There is a level indicator on the pump for fluid if low it will need topping up. If all else fails you can open maualally by winding the brass key attached to the pump in the boot anti-clockwise i think from memory then you can open the roof by hand. Dont forget to unlatch the handles in both cases.
  9. I think it will be worth putting a four wheel drive system in stu, while it is there,i think its the only way you are going to keep it on the road lol.
  10. Hi m8,yea am pleased with the results for the money, hope you are all well.
  11. Yes it sure is,perhaps you will try to get it one of our shows next year.
  12. If the engine has no oil leaks, engine bay looks clean, engine is not smoking and you take it it for a test drive as it runs and pulls well i would say it was ok. Bodywork on these cars of that era are just as important, check for around the rear arches as they are proned to rust and around the rear suspension mounts as they corrode badly around there and can be expensive to repair. Check roof is in good condition and working as again replacement roofs will cost £600 plus. Good luck.
  13. Like you say, general condition of the car tells you most about its history.
  14. Cheers dan,yea there is room in there for yours m8.
  15. I only know one with it,am sure is was like Velcro on the dash, can't be sure tho.
  16. Wind deflector was not a standard fit, likewise the full cover from the passenger side windscreen to cover all car was an optional extra. (dont see to many of these)
  17. Does it look like a rectangular metal frame with a coiled wire inside ( best description I remember lol )

That's good news, many a car finds out the worst when they come off.( body kits are the worst)
  19. If it's what I think you are asking for,I managed to get one from Ford, they are still available. Mine was burnt out.

    Rattling Noise

Does it smoke much on start up and tick over, have you owned it long enough to know if it uses a lot of oil . These engines are normally good for at least 130k, (unless seriously abused) may need a compression test for piece of mind,if ok then may need some some new vale stem oil seals if smoking on start up. If loosing compression may need a complete re-build or re-conditioned engine

    Rattling Noise

Does the noise carry on when warm or just on start up when cold ?
