Guys

I have had possibly the worst/best weekend of my life, my MOT was due just before Ford fair so i thought i would get it in early to resolve any issues,As he had sailed through last years MOT i was not worried at all and thought it would just be a easy job.

How wrong was i

half way through the test i saw the guy underneath my pride and joy poking it and shaking his head, Heshouted me over and told me it was pointless continuing and i could not drive the car again as it was dangerous.

The cahsis had snapped in 2 places and the car was only held together by the block and panels see the first picture

GUTTEDany of you that have met me know i loved that car even with its imperfections

So what to do next ? ford fair only 2 weeks away and my cab was dead and i was devastated.

so to cheer me up i went and bought a new RS Turbo cab Tennis edition that was only 30 mins away so billy died at 9.20 am and at 4 pm the same day i was driving home with a huge smile on my face in my new Turbo cab see pics.

Just had a full respray not too long ago and i spend ages underneath it looking for any possible chance that the same could happen on this one but it is solid underneath.

So here are a few pics in rememberence of Billy and welcome the yet to be named Turbo to the club

RIP Billy

And here is the new Turbo cab obviously i had to take it to bits and put it back together

Skippy sends his condolences Steve, Billy was his mate and he was very shocked and upset when he heard the news!. Glad that you discovered it before the ford fair show as that could have been awful if you had gone round the track with him in that condition.

I'm pleased you have found another and no doubt you will be hammering him around the Silverstone track now! ha! I shall have to think of some names for him! ha!

Look forward to seeing him at the show.

Thanks

Avril

So sad to hear the terrible news. Poor Billy. So near ford fair. But valiantly he shed his pieces to your new and very lovely noble stead. His memory will remain strong my friend and new adventures to befollow his tread. Pleasant and speedy as hell travels in ya new boy.

See ya at silverstone.
