  1. Are we going to be camping at the same place Steve? If so count me in as well please. Thanks Avril
  2. Well I've had a shuftie at where we can go on the way up to Amsterdam. There is a Nature Park on the way up which is east of Cologne. I have found the following hotels which are in the park and near Biggesee lake, and there is also Atta Cave nearby. Anyway let me know what you think and I'll book the rooms. This would be for the Tuesday 28th night only , as I believe the idea is for us all to get to Amsterdam on the Wednesday evening ready for a full day exploring on the Thursday! Ha!. So the details of the 2 hotels I have found for this single night stop over are as follows: Ebbegebirge Nature Park http://www.booking.com/hotel/de/landhotel-sangermann.en-gb.html?aid=100200;label=Hotel-reservations-xusIK9N6eEgGl6ojl6jNSgS3865872445;sid=88f46a53b25ef0c3fc490802e4e025c9;dcid=4;checkin=2012-08-28;checkout=2012-08-29;srfid=760b1d6540ec5c80a7a99b90e94fbf5aX7 http://www.booking.com/hotel/de/haus-dumicketal.en-gb.html?aid=100200;label=Hotel-reservations-xusIK9N6eEgGl6ojl6jNSgS3865872445;sid=88f46a53b25ef0c3fc490802e4e025c9;dcid=4;checkin=2012-08-28;checkout=2012-08-29;srfid=760b1d6540ec5c80a7a99b90e94fbf5aX1 If you can let me know asap I can book the rooms. Thanks Avril
  3. Hello everyone......I have booked the hotel suggested for the Nurburgring as there were only a few rooms left. So I hope this is ok for everyone. If not then they have to be cancelled before July so we don't have any cancellation fees. So to confirm I have booked the following for 2 nights (26/8 & 27/8). Thank you, your booking is now confirmed hotel Hotel an der Nordschleife Booking number 173.861.962 Booking details 2 nights, 4 rooms, . Check-in 2012-08-26 from 10:00 - 22:00 Check-out 2012-08-28 from 07:00 - 11:30 I shall spend the next few days having a look for some hotels for our stop over on our way upto Amsterdam, and for our actual stay in Amsterdam. Thanks Avril
  4. Skippy and me will be going again.......I'd prefer to miss out Leige though and go straight to the Nurburgring, and then use the extra day for a detour into the Black Forest on our way up to Amsterdam......what does everyone else think?
  5. Looks great Alan. You can't go wrong with a Mondeo......I've had Skippy's brother (ST24) since he was 8 months old and now 10years later he's still going strong and done nearly 200,000 miles and he's petrol.....they do like long drives though. Thanks Avril
  6. Well I had my drive in the Ariel Atom and it was great, and I managed to stay on the track! ha! The only problem was i didn't see how fat i was going as a daren't look down! ha!
  7. Hi stuart, I sold a new one to Eric earlier in the year, not sure whether he has used it as I know he's into the Focus more at the moment so he may sell it to you! ha!. If not i'll keep an eye open for another new one for you. Thanks Avril
  8. Hi Micky, I bought both the rear and the sides off ebay, and here's a link to them http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ford-Escort-Mk-3-4-Hood-Tension-Cable-Set-/170621214556?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item27b9d11f5c Thanks Avril
  9. Thanks for your comments. I went to the Ford Technical centre today and they had a couple of Atom's going round the track, and then got home to see them on Top gear as well, so I'm now more excited than ever! Skippy will be nesting by the time I go so its probably just as well as he probably would feel a little slow after driving an Atom! ha!
  10. Hi, I have replaced Skippy's (he's a Mk4 Xr3i 1.6) fuel pump recently and managed to get a new bosch one off ebay. I will try and find the link. Although I would say that the new one does make more noise than his old one. Thanks Avril
  11. Having got a nice little pressie from work for a project i did earlier in the year I have finally decided which of the Red Letter day expericences to do and decided to go for the drive in the Ariel Atom. I've booked it for 20th October at Mallory Park and cant wait! It does 0-60 in 2.7 seconds! ha! Not sure they realise what they have let themselves in for with me driving it, but sure it will be great fun once I get the hang of so much speed!ha! I shall try and get some videos if I can. I'm going with my mate Russell and he has no fear so both of us on the track at the same time will be fun. I'll let you all know how I get on. Avril
  12. Hi Alan, So does that mean he's no longer a big cab and he's reverted to being a small cabby? or have you done something else with yours? thanks Avril
  13. Hi You can probably get some nice caliper bits from the Parts Direct people. They get their capilers refurbished and are very good from experience and they are really cheap.....do good deals! Their number is 01132 637 057 Hope this helps Thanks Avril
  14. I just booked my ticket and a room at the Premier Inn and thought i'd better let you all know there aren't any hotel rooms left at the Ramada, and not sure how many are left at the Premier Inn (but there aren't any on special offer like last year so maybe they are going fast)......so anyone wanting to go and stay overnight may need to get their room booked bit swiftly! ha! Look forward to it being another good party. Take care Avril

  18. Thanks John for a great weekend, myself and Skippy thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and it was a bonus getting the award for the best visiting club! I have taken lots of piccies and will post them tomorrow. I still have all the ones from Battlebridge to put up as well so will do them at the same time. Thanks Avril
