I think the Harwich day trip sounds good and is probably more ideal if we are going to the Nurburgring first as its nearer i think from the Hook of Holland?....would also make a change. We could perhaps do the outward journey from Harwich and then the return via Hull?? Not sure if thats possible or whether it costs a lot more to do that. For those that didn't go last year the average we paid for the hotel rooms were approx 35euros although this may have gone up a bit by next year....but it will hopefully help people budget if we think we are going to go for a week this time. Skippy sends his condolences Steve, Billy was his mate and he was very shocked and upset when he heard the news!. Glad that you discovered it before the ford fair show as that could have been awful if you had gone round the track with him in that condition. Well I have paid for the Ford Fair camping and the confirmed list of those that have paid is as follows: 2 - John and Ky for Saturday and Sunday nights 1 - Avril for saturday and sunday nights 2 - Dwayne (Maido) & Laura for Saturday and sunday nights 2 - Steve & Sharon for saturday and sunday nights 2 - Dan (DannyBoy) & Dee for Saturday and sunday nights 2 - Ian (Badger) & Steven for saturday and sunday nights 1 - Chris (Savage) for saturday night 1 - Simon (Radman123) for Saturday night The campsite address is as follows: New Rookery Farm, Little London, Silverstone, Northants, NN12 8UP. Tel: 01327 857098 I have said that memebers may start to arrive around midday on the Saturday, so if anyone wants to get there earlier can you let me know. I found out Monday that Skippy had taken a dislike to his distributor and decided to crack the cap.....which i think he did on Sunday at the show when we messed about swapping his coil lead for this other one that had a widget on it to save fuel consumption and make bigger sparks! ha! When i went to fit the other lead back on him Monday I found tht the plastic bit in the end of the lead was part of his distributor cap! ha! ha! So anyway having been told by the guys next door that I would of had sparks like blackpool illuminations in my engine bay on the drive home from Trentham i thought i'd better get him a new one.......any what a difference!! Its made so much difference and he actually drives nicely now when in low gears as well.....which he never used to like that much before, but now he's so different. Thanks Avril

I feel awful I missed adding you to the list.....so sorry.

Hi everyone, Well I have spoken to the campsite today and confirmed they will definitely open up for us on the Saturday night providing we have 10+ people camping, and they will also allow us to stay Sunday night for those that want to stay an extra night following the show. The guy confirmed the camp site does have nice flat ground for the tents to be pictched and has a proper shower and toilet block and from the discussion I had with him, it would also seem he'd be quite happy for it just to be opened up for our Club. So he asked me to gather the payments and pay them in the next couple of weeks for those who definitely want to camp, and then if there are a few undecided members who won't know till nearer the time, he has agreed that they can turn up and pay on the day. But we must have 10+ people paying up front though otherwise they won't open the site up for us. The camp site is The New Rookery and its just down the road from the Silverstone entrance. Its £12.50 per adult per night. So the best way for me to collect the money in is via paypal probably to myself and then I will let them have the overall payment and list of members names so that they are aware of who's paid and attending. So I need the payments in to me please by Friday 8th July. My Paypal address is avril.thompson@btinternet.com and i would need the payment to be done as a 'personal gift' so we don't pay any paypal fees plase. That's more or less what the tuning guy said, but he thought it should have bedded in by now, but said to leave it till i get between 1000 and 1500 miles and go bck nd he'd check him again.
