  1. Thanks Ville, he's happy but does have his blemishes! ha! I just want him to last another 20+ years, so hopefully he will now. Thanks again.
  2. Thanks Tony, I have spent a few hours polishing the bits up that aren't chromed! ha! Now all i need to do is the Distributor and the tuning guy put some nice little marks on it so I can take it off and polish it and then realign it agian properly. I'm quite amazed everything I have polished up still works to be honest.....thought that i may mess something up as i've been a bit brutal with the wire brushes and things! ha!. Thanks again Avril
  3. Hi Ville, Glad your still plugging way at bits for the car, and tht looks like a very nice engine mount! Look forward to seeing more piccies as you progress.....thanks Avril
  4. I forgot to mention the guy who tuned him has rallied ford's all his life and he said that there is a change that can be made to the little pipe that comes off the inlet manifold in the left hand corner and this can make more power without upsetting him. So next time I go then i will find out what he does and let you all know. Thanks Avril
  5. Here's couple of piccies of his throttle housing and him all plugged into the tuning machine! ha!
  6. Stuart are these the types of door locks you are after? If so I can ask my mate next door if he has some spares. Thanks Avril
  7. Well I know myself, Steve and Ian are going to Trentham, but who else is going? If you add you name to the post and where your coming from we can hopefully meet up on the way for convoys! ha! Myself and Ian will be coming up the A14 and M6 so if there's anyone wanting to join us on that route let me know. Thanks Avril
  8. Well Skippy went for his tuning but the guy wouldn't put him on the rolling road as he hasn't done enough miles yet with his new heart! ha! So he fitted his polished Throttle housing and then just tweaked him here and there. He did pick up that one of his cylinders was reading lower than the rest and so he said if its still reading the same after he's done 1000-1500 miles that i should get the tappet thingy replaced or something like that! ha! So its good that I had the engine fitted now as its under warranty for a year so need any little issues picked up sooner rather than later. I must admit the stethoscope thing he uses is a great little widget as you can hear all sorts of noises really clearly. I'll post somemore piccies of his new throttle housing shortly once i've loaded them. Thanks Avril
  9. Hi simon, I am sure Scrappy will sail through the MOT, he looks really happy now with his new wheels. So best of luck for tomorrow. Take care Avril
  10. Ok Dwayne, thnks for letting me know. Thanks Avril
  11. Well Skippy has now done his first 500miles with his new heart and is having his oil changed tomorrow. Then Saturdy its off to the nice little tuning man to get his throttle housing fitted and then tuned up nicely for his next 20year stint! ha! I just hope the guy is kind to him if he puts him on the rolling road thing! it will be interesting to see what his new engine does though, in comparison to the old one. Thanks Avril
  12. Ha! ha! John, like his dad then! ha!......we'll keep him in check! ha!
  13. Hi Matt, Well I shall try and get them to allow us to pay on the day. but if they won't then I will sort out what booking form we need to use,etc and let you know. Thanks Avril
  14. Hi Savage, Well I can't remember any speed bumps getting into Silverstone. Don't go to the Trentham show then or Sporting Escorts as those have really nasty speed humps! ha! You can always meet us all at the camp site and then we can all go in convoy to the show! ha! Thanks Avril
  15. Well here's a sample of the piccies taken at the show last sunday.
  16. Well I need to ring the camp site soon and book it all up. So far I believe we have the following members who are definitely camping and it seems we will try camping at the New Rookery then, unless anyone has serious objections? Steve x2 and 1 child Ian (Badger) x1 John x2 - Assume you'll bring K John? Avril x1 Dwayne (maido) x2 - Dwayne if your mates want to camp i need to know the numbers. Petey x2? Matt (Feeble) x 6 If the above is wrong can you let me know. Also if you haven't yet added your name and want to camp can you add yourself to the post. I will tell them there will be a minimum of 10 campers so I will then let you know what they want us to do to book an pay. Thanks Avril
  17. Thats a shame mejojo. but yes we will all catch up when we get to the show on the Sunday. So see you there. take care Avril
  18. Matt, When I spoke to the New Rookery camp site they said they were oppostie Hamilton Fields so that may be the new name they are trading under! ha! Did you look at their web site and see if its one of the same? If we all camp together someone can come with me to save you doing 2 trips if that helps. Let me know if you definitely want to camp and if your qty is going to be 6 altogether and then I can ring them and book it all up. Thanks Avril
  19. Well its upto everyone.....I don't mind either! ha!....So the choices are The Rookery where we can probably be by ourselves.....or Whittlebury....where we will probably be on a hill, and I know some people didn't like the showers,etc.....or Hamilton Fields.....which really was just a field! ha! So I need to know definite quantities of campers and and where everyone wants to go. Thanks Avril
