  1. Hi Marc, I'm not sure whether it would be suitable for a cabby and I am sure others on here will let you know.....however if it isn't and you decide to get rid of the ST24 I'd be interested as I'm after a good spare car with good engine for my ST24. Thanks Avril
  2. If anyone wants new weather strips for a Mk4 then the strips I got from East Kent Trim supplies were excellent. they didn't need any chopping about and fitted straight on and made all the difference to my cab....I did take some piccies which I have attached. Thanks Avril
  3. Hi Everyone, Just a quick note to give some more detailed directions for those that are coming. From North: M6 to junction with the A14 east towards Felixstowe. Follow the A14 via Huntingdon, Cambridge and then Bury St Edmunds. About 10miles the other side of Bury St Edmunds take slip road for the A140 to Norwich. Go approx 8miles through Brockford and Thwaite and past Thorndon then you will see a sign post to turn right to Eye on the B1117. Take this right turn and follow the road to the T juntion in Eye (approx 2miles) Then turn right at T junction onto the B1077 and go about 1/2 mile till you get to a sharpish right bend and turn off left on the bend. Follow the road about 2 miles round the country lanes....and watch out for big sugarbeet lorries and tractors coming the other way! Eventually you pass a sign as you come into Redlingfield and after about 500yrd you then you go round a left bend towards the main village. Mill Farm House is the light green house you first come to on the left and the fields are also on the left before the house. There is a little track that takes you up the side of the house (to the right of the house) and then your there! Well hope these details are ok, and I'll see you all on Friday or Saturday. Weather has been hot here today and its forecast to be sunny so hopefully it will be a good fun weekend. Thanks Avril x
  4. This party is now under two weeks away and I need to know the numbers who will be coming so I can plan the food for the BBQ,etc. I've had some queries about what people need to bring so hopefully the following will clarify if not give me a shout. You need to bring camping gear (tents, sleeping bags, etc), whatever you want to drink and yourselves. If you fancy a ride on the horses then trainers will be ok and we have various size hats, and if the weather is hot enough and you fancy a swim then cossie's as well. I just hope the recent weather lasts as its been really hot here for the last couple of weeks. Once I know the confirmed numbers of people I will arrange the food and BBQ. Oh and bring your CD's as there is a music system in the barn. It should be fun so I do hope a few turn up even if you can't camp overnight it would be good if you can pop over for the Saturday and join in the BBQ and general party. Turn up when you like on the Saturday, and leave when you like on the Sunday. Hopefully see you there Avril xx

    Ford Fair

Steve and all, I'd just like to say a big thank you all for a great weekend, and thank you to all those that voted for Skippy.....he was over the moon about winning an award and has been full of himself ever since! ha! ha! It made up for the graze he got in the camp site the night before, when there were some yobs hurtling round the field in the dark. Special thanks also to Stumpy for the shiny cover he fitted to Skippy while I wasn;t watching. So a big thanks to you all again. Avril xx
  6. I've just managed to find the number and web site of the guy that fitted a new roof on Skippy about 6years ago. He does all sorts of Roof repairs/replacements and upholstery. His name is Max Creasy, and he and his son carry out the fitting from his place in Kesgrave nr Ipswich. He apparently used to do all the upholstering for Jaguar and I must say that the new roof he fitted on Skippy was excellent and at very reasonable cost. He's been doing it for over 30years. The web link is: http://www.creaseycartrimmers.co.uk/ Telephone 01473 623569 Hope this is useful for anyone needing some roof or seat repairs/replacement around this area. Thanks Avril
