Guest gavintwopies Posted October 13, 2010 Share Posted October 13, 2010 Lol at windscreen So not long till P day arrives yeah only a matter of days now also the car has tax aswell so once we get it back it straigth on the road with it, and worse still i got to give it the once over to see if it needs out else before i handit over so i will be driving it around for a week or so..... many be blackedout windows? cant wait to see it pink mate, i hope its mega bright lol well i'm back down there thursday night as i then have the car again as she has it for mobile caring most nights but once i'm mobile i got to go see wing mirrors to see how the paint went on. bright might be an under statement...? Guest gavintwopies Posted October 17, 2010 Share Posted October 17, 2010 wel while the cabby was tucked away gettin gpainted pink i unknowingly won a 1.8 zetec engine on e-bay less than 10miles away for £6.05p an absolute baragin till i got there and found that the lad has had the head gasket done inc a skimmed head and pressure test less than 3 month ago and also a new clutch under 6 months ago. Bargain !!!! then to top that off i got a set of R6 bike carbs for £60 deliverd off the bay and over the weekend have made a inlet for them too, still unsure as to which cab to put them in may end up being the black one at this rate? then i also got a set of evo-r 16" alloys with naff tires for £30 this week too. Guest gavintwopies Posted October 22, 2010 Share Posted October 22, 2010 well one more quick update this is the bit i love, new stuff landing by the day, starting now. the lenses came off in my hands when i removed the lights so figured new paint requires new eyes too. then top it off with a small subtle amount of bling too, number plates to follow soon. Guest gavintwopies Posted October 27, 2010 Share Posted October 27, 2010 well its now official its now the worst kind of pink known to man........... mixed with pearl. my mates unit has a spy window to see how its going on while its getting done. then after the base coat went on i ran out of power so missed the photos of it coverd in laquer as the pearl started to show once the shiney coat went on. for all its pinkness the pearl looks good but will need day light to show its full potential. (being rammed into motorway railings at 50mph!!!) Even though it's pink that looks the yeah its not to bad need to wait a week or so as there is a few runs in the laquer as its had 4 coats once its fully hardened off the runs are going to be buffed out so you cant tell. its just a throw together thing as its for her, my mota will be a no frill mechanical monster as thats what i like, dont look pretty but will go like stink...... Mmm thing is it was painted on purpose by my m8 to save me having to swap it the exhaust cloud was a pink haze for the 1st few mile once we picked it up as there was so much over spray up the back box. like the plates say fairy dust. Guest gavintwopies Posted October 31, 2010 Share Posted October 31, 2010 well had a funny one happen today the car was kangaroo-ing when in 1st and 2nd gear but nothing in third,forth or fifth???? sussed it after 5 mins found a nasty old split in the inlet pipe that had window sealer smeared all over it!!!! sealer had come loose and was letting extra air in. so onto the next thing this car has no extra at all so dash came out today all 3 option looms went in electric windows,electric mirrors & central locking not going to bother with the heated screen hasd the doors stripped and in bits too central locking motors went in but going to hang back on the electric windows as A. i donthave them yet and B. i need to take the pink wing mirrors to bits to swap the internal manual mechanism to electric. oh yeah and i did all this in the P***ing rain for 4hrs!!!!!
