Sounds like you do need to re loom it. Get rid of all the doubt and you'll feel more confident with it.

 

If you've got a good loom it shouldnt take too long to exchange.

you want get rid of it mate, keep it and buy a focus aswell

re looming it is not that bad engine can stay in the worst bit is across the rear panel with all the foam in it.....and the dash has to come out but your changing that any way so it easy :laugh: :lol:

Loom is slowly on its way parcelfarce are a bit slow this time of year for some reason :sad: took 5 days to go from B'ham to Manchester. :ohmy:

 

what they doing driving in reverse :laugh:

Will start stripping cab out next week gotta label the old loom up and the same with the mk4 one gotta take the central locking loom and windows off my one and put it with the mk4 one which will most likely result in a small fire of some sort. :sad::biggrin:

 

And I might be moving in April so might have a garage to eventually to put the moldy old thing into. :biggrin:

Yeah can't wait to start just waiting for some cable ties with labels but they must be lost in the post cos they haven't turned up yet and i still need a dash and parts for the dash that I don't have yet. :sad:

 

Hopefully it will be back on the road soon just the alarm that will be a bitch to do not gonna pay to have it done again so I'll have a crack at it can't be that hard right. :biggrin: :D

looking good so far Al, won't be long before your driving again

make sure with alarm you know were the wires go as most alarm's are all black wiring

I got a Sigma wiring manual :ohmy: so i should be ok as the wires are colour coded which I thought was a part of the Thatcham requirements but I don't know. :biggrin:

 

Got most of the parts on their way to me now just gotta sit down with both looms and see what bits i need to take off and add to new one. :sad: Nightmare.
