id be seriously pissed off at that, so can imagine you are

A little bit but I was expecting something like that I cant really see under my cab as I have no ramps or anything that I can use to see a proper view under it

2 of those fails are old welds that are crap and need re doing :punish:

Any pics of the rusty bits listed?

Ain't got any yet will get some tomorrow hopefully.

Once you've welded it, if you can find a scrap mk4 Esciort / Orion, grab the wheel arch linets from it and fit them. Full fitting guide on my website.

SDC14524.jpg

Then did the gaiters no sooner had i done that last cable tie up this happened with out me even touching the thing

SDC14530.jpg

So with a new seat pan on its way a pillow was introduced to the seating area

Mot was booked for Wednesday so thought I would clean the cab properly spent 4hrs with this gear

SDC14544.jpg

cab came up smelling sweet and looking brilliant

SDC14553.jpg

Wednesday and MoT day again passed (obviously) Only cost £20

SDC14555.jpg

On the way back home I went on the motorway for a blast and noticed a smokey trail behind me  But Found a Focus ST to play with I did well to keep up with it till I hit half a house brick in the road and couldn't avoid it  Cab now runs shite

In my quest for the engine number I had to remove the exhaust manifold was going well till i found the reason for the smoke

SDC14557.jpg

SDC14559.jpg

SDC14556.jpg

Not good

And the clutch slipping is getting worse

And after that was out i find myself with no engine number for the insurance  Oh dear...

SDC14566.jpg

All I have is the engine code

I am now extremely peed off with the cab now.

turbos fucked then, nasty. id drive it a bit slower mate for the time being, its sat for a long time so wont really like a shed load of abuse in my opinion, plus the clutch will last longer

whats the deal with the insurance and engine number, why they wanna know? is it registerd as a turbo?

I think they want it incase my engine gets nicked they will replace it for me  You would think the number would be on the receipt for the conversion as its a pain in the arse getting the manifold off  It is still down as XR3i now I know why  The engine is either nicked or has come from a scrapped car I'm hoping its the latter

Guest murcus

ive seen the cvh's doing this when breather pipes get blocked, also when the stem seals become hard.

you should have done a compression test, that would reveal if the rings are shot.
