MarineIguana
I might re loom it found a loom from a Mk4 turbo complete and uncut just need to decide if its the right thing to do or not before I buy it.
Guest Alanman
Sounds like you do need to re loom it. Get rid of all the doubt and you'll feel more confident with it. If you've got a good loom it shouldnt take too long to exchange.
gingergman
I do reckon alot of your problems are caused by the loom, from what you've said before its a bit of a mess. Just depends if you want the effort and hassel to fully strip it out and do it propper . I say do it lol.
MarineIguana
Might not bother re-taxing it end of the month if I do decide to do it but does mean doing it in crap weather I'll see got a few hundred spare from not filling it up and a Mk4 ECU on it's way We shall see. MarineIguana
Will start stripping cab out next week gotta label the old loom up and the same with the mk4 one gotta take the central locking loom and windows off my one and put it with the mk4 one which will most likely result in a small fire of some sort. And I might be moving in April so might have a garage to eventually to put the moldy old thing into.

Hopefully it will be back on the road soon just the alarm that will be a bitch to do not gonna pay to have it done again so I'll have a crack at it can't be that hard right. :D
Guest shaun
looking good so far Al, won't be long before your driving again make sure with alarm you know were the wires go as most alarm's are all black wiring Edited December 28, 2011 by shaun
MarineIguana
I got a Sigma wiring manual so i should be ok as the wires are colour coded which I thought was a part of the Thatcham requirements but I don't know. Got most of the parts on their way to me now just gotta sit down with both looms and see what bits i need to take off and add to new one. Nightmare.
