its been awhile! but ive been working on it on odd days, so thought id add what ive done! i finished undersealing the whole car, didnt miss a single bit of the floor and inner arches, all put back together, fuel tank etc etc, new fuel pump fitted saturday along with fuel filter, temp sender switch, still got to change the thermostat and flush the cooling system.

painted the rear drums black, got rid of the chav orange "look at my drums" but i re painted the calipers orange.

the wheels above that were ment for it was sold ages ago, ive now got black five spokes with a polished lip.

put the interior bits and bobs back together.

i put it back on the ground on saturday, it starts but cuts out, think it needs a good run, that or ive dun sumink when messing with the fuel system

sorted the boot out and loads of other small bits and bobs.

still to do is take the door cards off and spray waxoyl in the bottom of the doors, and modify the door check strap on the drivers side so the door doesnt open as far, causing the commen problem of the door hitting the hinge, resulting in a damaged door. ive got a push start button to wire in, fit k&n replacement panel filter and some other small odd ends.

then just hope it runs right, april aint long!

il sort some pics out to follow in the week some time

looking good. Paint looks amazing mate. Your alot quicker than me. I'm still in the process of getting the gti on the road. The underside has taken lots of time. Got the final waxoyl to do then fit new bits. Been off road for nearly 2 years now!
