  1. Looks good Ian, that garage unit is about the size I would like.
  2. Not bad that Dennis, don't think it would work on mine lol
  3. Yeah Dennis, I think I might have it replaced next month as I've got the first 2 weeks off. He is only round the corner from me. Advance car trimmers Blackpool. http://www.advancecartrimmers.co.uk/
  4. I had a quote today for £400 for a new mowhair hood fully fitted, I think I will be treating the old girl to a new hood and I think I even have a buyer for mine, which isn't ripped just looks patchy. The guy is in Blackpool and has been going for absolute years, also well into his Fords.
  5. Use the efi bottom end unless its from a fiesta rs turbo as the compression will be too low.
  6. I'm sure from what I've seen of your posts you don't listen to the advice given anyway.
  7. Frenzy performance tuning in Sudbury are top notch. I think thats somewhere down that way.
  8. What area are you guys gonna be in?
  9. Or first try earthing the sender wire to the exhaust manifold or another good earth point and see if the gauge goes to the top.
  10. Check the wire for continuity between the sender and the multi plug at the back of the gauges.
  11. Deffo sounds like you have a wire or 2 missing, mine has a couple of wires that go off towards the heater box, have a good luck around all wiring in that area. I would take a picture of mine but it won't help really as I have a lot of additional electrics on mine as its far from original.
  12. What have you got attached to the positive terminal of the battery, should normally be the thick lead to the starter and 1 or 2 more.
  13. loom feed wire not connected to the battery from the sound of it.
  14. Zetec turbo it with a ofam ecu, 200-250 bhp should perk it up a fair bit. The ofam ecu will plug straight into the current ecu's wiring plug. Even a cvh turbo would be a lot better. I'm sure you could add a set of cvh turbo pistons to your current engine add a oil return to the block or top of the sump and your pretty much there.
  15. Looks good on the pictures Ian, was a bit difficult to see on the Ipad last weekend. Is the wife talking to you? lol
  16. Sounds like a short circuit within the door loom, possibly in the section that passes between the Apost and door.

    Exhaust

    yeah should be fine.
  18. I forgot about booking this show, I better get my finger out if there is still room for me Ian?
  19. I will be going to the show, just can't decide on taking the cabrio or just going in my daily as it holds camping gear easier.
  20. You've got ford fair twice and classic ford in August with Ford fair in June, think its a bit jumbled up bud.
  21. I would get a new set of flywheel bolts ordered ready for your new flywheel.
  22. Not enough hours in the day for all your toys Ian
  23. Just collected the car from the paint shop today, had the whole front end repainted, modified bumper is on so should help reduce under bonnet temps. The new oil pressure switch is in and performing well so thats that issue sorted, I did have a bit of trouble with the cooling fans today after a lot of head scratching as the fault was acting so randomly I found a bad earth connection. Taking the car to a show on Sunday so was trying to get it minted up and my bloody pressure washer hose snagged on a tyre and I stupidly pulled it a bit, only went and burst while the car was half covered in snow foam. (many angry words followed) Wheels are next on the list, then the leather on the seats to be repaired.
  24. has the anti roll bar been right off?
  25. Yeah cheers Den, it was a brown trouser moment.
