Guest Rooyan
This is my 1990 xr3i Brought this a couple months back for £800 with the intention to use it for a few weeks until i find something i really want! Photos from the add: However after driving her home back down the motorway i changed my mind! First job i wanted to get sorted out was the paint. i know she is a special edition two tone cabriolet... but its my car now and well it needs a fresh coat of paint, so here she is getting stripped down and re - painted ( Just testing the lights out )
Guest Rooyan
Next was those horrible looking pram wheels that where on the car, had to get them changed so picked up some of these for £85 and gave them a refurb and paint job Then Came a new exhaust ! I tryed to keep the black / white theme running through out so i painted the vents black and i also had the evil eyes done ( bad boy style) I then added some tinted black Tail-lights! Thanks to Dwayne Maiden!! cheers bud also the spoiler ! as i felt it was missing something! Next i gave the brake cailpers a bit of paint ( although could do with another coat ) Some cheeky shots of her ! Still have a lot of work to do !! next job is the interior as i would like a full re trim and after picking up a set of recaros it has to be done. As i use this car as my daily it is hard to get any work done, but il try my best over the next few months thanks for looking and il keep this post updated! Guest Older and wiser
Nice one M8, I have the same car but kept the colours, has it got power steering? Mine has so I wondered if it's an addition or standard on these ? Did you get a new hood for her?

welshlad
Looks great dont like the black vents tho but thats just me, has the paint gone on alright with leaving the hood on? im thinking of taking my hood and windscreen/windows off/out to respray mine and there another cruise on in north wales Mochdre sat night i think, i might be going if i fit my new shocks/springs/tie bars/bearings in time
Guest Rooyan
yeah the paint went alright! the guy who painted said he would prefer to do it if i took the windscreen out etc, but i didn't have the time and overall it came out nice, no excess paint anywhere on the rubbers or anything like that it is getting a little touch up in a couple weeks though as its started to flake a little bit where the bumper strips go. ( only on one of them barly noticeable, but i know its there ! )
