well looks like i might have a chance of a ib5 box fianlly with selector too.

Well as my alternator and bracket turned up this week i thought i'd give it a go fitting it just to see for clearance, Would you know its a good fit with a similar amount of clearance above and below the alternator.

What mount is that exactly then? And is it standard CVH alternator?

Yes its the original escort cvh alternator and bracket just lowerd on the adaptor plate.

well finally after 2 birthdays and a wedding found time to make up my idler pulley wheel and bracket.

 

1st problem i had was the donor engine had this removed and was thrown in the bin inc the PAS pump (not by me) so had to struggle on trying to find one of them 1st.

well started to fit the ib5 gearbox again so swapped the flywheel to the smaller 1.6 zetec one then stuck the box on.

 

 

 

If weather holds off i'll get a bit more done today.

Rite well now for the proper mock up........

 

after getting a 1060pk6 drive belt today from halfrauds i tried the engine in to check all round for clearance issues and all looks sweet now.
