Guest John
After me using my loaf for once(doesn't happen very often) i was wondering how the stand should be set out at ford fair. After a little discussion it has been left to me to orgainise the stand so what i'm asking for is some feed back please ladies & gents. 1. Do we go by colours? 2. By models eg mk3,mk4,mk5a,mk5b mk6 etc. 3 Standard or modded. As we are expecting 40 cars on the stand it would be great for members feed back on this so i can come up with a plan on the day so we can get set up really early n quickly so we can all get cleaning or looking round asap. Mostly to have a stand that the mag may want to feature. Can all parties going post a pic on here so i know exactly wot models are going. many thanks john
Guest Gregg
I think keeping all the mks together would be best. Old to new.

Guest Lee81
Putting them in order of age sounds good. Another thought depending on cars is start with the oldest in the middle and go to newer each side. One side standard examples and the other modded. I'm not camping over but should be arriving about 8 with car preped. Also I've got track time and sprint test booked so somewhere easy for me to get out would be appriciated
gingergman
i agree with lee, oldest in the middle and go to newer ones each side, meaning mk6 at both ends. and il be in me sig pic
Guest Cabbytech
Well i think it depends on how they will be arranged, will it be in one straight line ? or will we have 2 or 3 rows ? i also think breaking up the colours is good rather than having say 4 blues side by side for example, also mixing them up might keep it more interesting, so for example mk4 lovers would have to walk across our whole stand to see the cars on show, rather than congregate in one section, hope this helps. We will be in our cab below. Edited July 27, 2010 by Cabbytech

gingergman
how many rows will there be? as i suppose 40 in a row will be to much?
badger
hi john i think old to new is best, but the problem you have is you won't know till we get there what sort of room you'll have on the stand as in the shape of the area. i have a c reg mk4 in white i also think you should try to break up the colours as best as possible. allblue
Hi all, Just my two pence worth, not too keen with old to new. I think it will make the stand look to formal and boring. Also given MK6's are not exactly the desirable cars people go and see, people will be drawn towards the MK4 end at the expense of the MK6 side. I think a mix of all MK's and colours is best to uniformly draw showgoers attention to all parts of the club stand. BTW I am bringing my all-blue to the show. No need for pic, just imagine a usual standard all-blue Edited July 31, 2010 by allblue
