LeeMcCarthy
was talking to a colleague at work about the project and he said the cab would need to be strenghened for the rs lump is that true????
gingergman
i doubt anyone gets them strenghened when they turbo them, as long as the chassis of the car is strong it will be ok, if its tired and started to rot etc it mite wana twist when booting it off a roundabout or something. when i had a turbo put in my old cab the bloke said the car wouldnt hold the power and would just twist, but that was because the chassis had dents etc in it lol and all sorts(wernt the best underneath). i never drove it tho to find out as it would not run lol. Guest steelcabby
it won't need strengthening. they are double skinned anyway. Â there are plenty on here that have had big power cabbys. i was running 250 plus on my zvh and andy was running over 300bhp on his. we had no problems with twisting. Â if your gonna run 400-500bhp plus then thats a different story altogether. as the torgue would pull the car apart over time. Â more tuned up RST's only run a max of 200bhp anyway. only thing i would recommend is a strut brace for the front and uprated suspension. oh and an LSD gearbox with an uprated front gearbox mount. don't worry about the back mount, keep i standard

Guest steelcabby
if you get them cheap. would be worth it just for the brakes. the suspension is abit rough looking. Â G-MAX do a 25mm full kit for the RST and a 35mm for the Cabby. get a 25mm RST kit. cheap enough too and not too stiff and bumpy
