hi all, seems as it was a nice day today i made a start on stripping the cab. when i pulled the carpets out i was expecting the floor to be quite rusty along the sills and where the seats bolt in, surprisingly they are basically mint along with the rest of the floor. the happy and pleased mood didnt last long though when i removed the dash, under the battery tray, fuse box and heater blower is well rotten. o well at least the floor is sound.

will try and get some pics up but cant do them at mo. size is too big or summit

Don't think I will attempt replacing the panels as I have never welded before. Already had a price for work to be done also there is a mobile welder working on me bro's mini at the moment who is doing a good job. Where do you recomend then mate? Can keep me options open on where to go then. Who are the best quality suppliers of oe panels other than genuine ford?

Got the heater blower panel today, from the scrappy though. I emailed a few panel companies and apparantly no one makes them. Off to the cab 2moz weather depending. Will get a few more pics up too.

Well not been to the cab for a few weeks as still waiting for me bro to finish his mini to get cab in garage. Money is really short too so was thinking about doing the welding myself. I have never welded before so does anyone think it's a good idea? On the positive side I do have the time and patience to do it myself.

Well I can't find the proper panel new on the Internet but they are on eBay. Ordered one myself they are cut off a car but mint, a bit pricey at £30 but already spent £10 in petrol driving around scrappys. eBay item number:140344281267

Yeah will do bud. Gonna take pics off the whole build anyway. The mk3 and 4 fuel filler are the same anyway. I am getting my other pannels from a company called Beevers auto panels, they are cheap and use Hadrian panels
