Guest mk4stu
Gmax 30mm couldn't afford koni or spax. £205 new. Going to look at turbo engine 2moz includes everything for conversion about 10 miles away, just hope I get it and no one else beats me to it on eBay. Guest mk4stu
Well happy today, went to see a rs turbo engine, 90k with rebuilt head, not in car so couldn't hear running. Guy reckons it ran spot on with no smoke from turbo comes with everything for conversion including loom pipes and ecu's just got to get rad and down pipe for it so hopefully onto a winner. K&n Bailey dump and new clutch with it too, it turns with spanner, all the gear for conversion for the sum off £180 as it's just in the way after stripping his rotten rs
gingergman
if that engine is a good one then pure bargain, but buying a rs engine unheard is brave, so good luck
Guest mk4stu
Yeah just a bit, I'm planning on rebuilding it and taking it to about 170 bhp but if it's fine will delay the rebuild until next winter so fingers crossed, I told the bloke I'm ok with it if it needs work as long as I know and he assured me it's fine. I'm picking it up on Friday.
Guest mk4stu
Got me engine now. It's in me boot of me mk6 tin top with it's back end on the floor, just need to get the shell painted ready for the pieceing back together. Not looking forward to cutting the loom will have to do some research.
LeeMcCarthy
I cant believe you got all that for £
Guest mk4stu
I know bargain. I might just pay someone to do me loom, so if anyone interested in a few months let me know. I'm ok with the rest of the car just don't fancy tackling the electrics.
Guest mk4stu
What is the post above all about? Anyone? Was supposed to pick me suspension up today. Apparantly it's going to be another 4 weeks as gmax needs to make them or summit, 6 weeks to get suspension is a bit of a joke, and I'm having trounce fitting the bushes on me rear suspension arms there too big but the company are adamant there correct, so I think it's going to be a grinder job to get them to fit. Guest mk4stu
Was that post what has been deleted by a hacker or summit?

Guest mk4stu
Word of warning to any one who needs suspension. Don't buy gmax was told wold be 10 days 5 weeks on now been informed it will be February, what a joke, now getting a different make called supersport which is apparantly a sister company of spax. Anyone heard of them any feedback? Hopefully these will be here in 10 days time so basically waiting 7 weeks to get it on it's wheels! As you can probably gather I'm not very happy at moment
Guest mk4stu
Finally me suspension has arrived, can go back on it's wheels now. Does anybody fancy earning some money in the new year? Need the rst mfi loom fitting and cutting into me mfi cab one to run rs engine, located in Chester north west.

Guest mk4stu
The cold doesn't bother me, got a boiler suit and a kettle, it's the time I need to find working 6 days at moment and on me day off I go and watch my other passion Chester fc! Might sell a kidney or summit to get the money to sort it. Stuff soon mounts up and lots still to spend.
