On our mk 5 we screwed it threw the edge of the boot lid and bonded it on with a sealing adhesive sorry not sure how it works on a mk4 but I would measure a good few times and always screw it don't just stick it on in this day and age it will soon be gone it's worth all the effort though I do love the look of a spoiler good luck

I do love a boot spoiler fitted one to our mk5 was a pig of job finding right bolts for job the 1st bit of the thread is a plastic sleeve then metal inside well worth the hassle one of the best things I done deos your have a brake light in it would post some pictures of ours but don't know how to good luck

  6. After thinking and talking about this a lot and based upon ian71 thoughts and comments took a gamble just brought and paid for this one 1 st time we are doing this show

I own a mk5 on a L reg and she was already modified a little bit when I got her so I carried it on and personalised her a bit more what I would say if your car is totally original and never been played with I would leave it As it is I think yours looks good the way it is the nearest thing I would do is to fit a period set of alloys to it as I never have liked wheel trims and may be fit clear side and front indicators I have a spare set if u want to see what they look like and I will be at simply ford in belieu good luck with what ever u decide

After spending all that time and money I would go the zetec route so it geos as well as it looks as for the leather route you could carefully strip the cloth get it remade in leather then recover your self there is a bloke some where on here who deos a fantastic job of all things leather good luck will look good when finished
  10. We repaired ours on our mk5 as decided with a 2nd hand one we could buying the same problem again well worth the hassle cured every fault

  12. Can't remember where but seen one fitted once they do look good you do like your rare bits well done for finding this you found this so sure your find a way of fitting it
  13. Since these seem to be like hens teeth have any of you guys looked at other cars that use a similar design that could be cut down or made to fit got to be worth looking at since they seem in demand
  14. Very easy to make your own just mask out the reverse lights they do look very good well worth it I would up load a picture but don't how to you may see one if you look at last years show pictures blue mk 5 amalfie blue L reg
  15. Looking at the pictures it's a mk 5 and some one as fitted a mk6 front end makes it different I guess
  16. If the stitching is gone and the roof is brittle I would treat her to a new mohair roof not cheap but looks fantastic and last for a very long time will finish her of nicely

  18. Thanx for the warning appreciate that that's exactly what I wanted to avoid carbon fibre sounds good would that be legal on the back as well as the front was looking at getting a pair of plates
  19. Brought some bits of ebay for my daily runner and the guy said he can do custom / fancy plates any one got any ideas designs want to keep legal as already got show plates was thinking of haveing the clubs web site on bottoms of plates but not sure
  20. Yes that's where i topped mine up I used jack oill and had no problems fill it up leave nut of go up down with roof a few times to work it in the system and avoid air locks worked on mine a treat once you get to max then refit nut take your time add a bit at a time good luck

  22. Can't wait for this either will be a fantastic weekend thanx for the wheel just had 3 new tyres fitted Now just need two wheels painting quick clean and the old girl will soon be ready for show season
  23. Sounds good depends on what dates it happens on fingers crossed pending test my sister will be donating a kidney to my dad so hopefully won't clash with that i am sure the cabby will make it
