  3. My mate uses egos.ford.com to look up official technical spec this is what he used to see the spec of my Focus titanium don't know if it will work on old girls like ours I have never used the site my self I can't post pictures here my self either
  4. Same as Ian more than likely no but may be if it is a late 94 l it could have had one if you can post a picture of your aftermarket steering wheel I fitted a smaller aftermarket wheel to our mk5

  6. Love the sound of them induction kits well worth it the piper cross on the ka sounds better very deep throaty sound was tempted to put on the cabriolet but was Argo fitting it so will stay on the ka and the cabby will keep its k and n

Will look at mine in day light sounds like slacking the cable try and adjust at the catch end or in the boot undo the big torx the hold the seat back in and try and move it about in the catch just had the the same trouble on a m4 mondeo estate on that I removed the catch screws so the tailgate would open then removed the stirker plate with the jamed catch attached freed the catch now need to order a new a lot of swearing but u will get there
  11. Thick double sided tape just take your time I have wrecked a few mouldings by rushing the last little bit god luck let me know how you get on

Some people use fishing wire I use a plastic spreader behind them and gently heat them up with a hot air gun or a hair dryer probley best if your a novice then store them under some thing flat to remove the old tape from the body work and mouldings I put a small tool called a toffe wheel in a drill then white spirt or thinners I call it a toffe wheel I am sure people on here have got many different names for it good luck

Grab your self an xr3i /rs2000 bumper they have fogs and indicators although in your case just wire up the fogs on ours we have the full xr3i set up so side lights are where your indicators are so on ours we use the indicators in the bumper can't load pictures on here but you will see pictures of her on the club facebook page you even have a spare blank for the switch as well

Will be interesting to read this as this what we dream about doing to ours in the future donor car and funds permitting most people say the biggest issue is the pats system ( the coded key bit ) and I remember reading you have to to a couple of alterations for a clearance issue some where but can't remember where good luck will be worth it in the end is yours a mk5

  22. On ours we have an old school chip immobiliser but I believe in a visual deterant so as well as the said immobiliser we always fit a steering wheel disc lock which is thatcham approved and a hand brake lock even put these on when it's parked in the garage as well
  23. Been told they get hot and dry out starts fine then randomly after a run refuses to start again

At one of the shows I recall some one saying you can fit an up rated starter from a later ford to get rid of the issues with the current starters from meomry I think some one said people are fitting transit connect starters to mk4 escorts is there any similar mods for the mk5 escort zetec thanx mark
