Guest Lee81
Final cleaning to do. I've cut the surface with SSR1 and DA polisher so theres no swirls. applied black hole glaze/filler but have the silcone and wax top coats to do. Plus wheels off and clean and engine/interior to detail. I got the wheel cleaning down to a quick time now of 45 mins to get them off poilsh and back on. As got new turbo to manifold seal and bolts to fit. If I get time i'll sort the passenger window out. Drivers keep falling out of channel as there were a fair amount of parts missing inside the door. So i suspect the same.
Guest Milkey
I was supposed to be replacing the front wings on mine b4 the event but due to a number of other problems arising I'm not going to be able to now They're not drastically bad but have slight bubbling on the arches. I'm fitting a new gearbox and clutch kit tomorrow as the box has started playing up. I'm completely replacing the rear brakes on Wednesday (Drums, shoes, fitting kit, cylinders and rear handbrake cable) as the whole lot looks like it hasn't been touched in decades! I'm picking up my freshly painted morette headlights from the body shop tomorrow so I'll be fitting them too. I've already replaced the whole exhaust system with a Sportex one inc. 4 branch manifold, replaced the wheels with a set of Fiesta zetec S items, replaced the rear speaker pods as they had been butchered to accept 6x9 speakers, replaced the fuel pump, Hydraulic lifters, oil and filter and rocker cover gasket. I've replaced the after market gear knob with an original Ford one and removed the nasty window tints that the previous owner thought looked cool :S It's going in for a professional mop over the day before the event and other than that just general cleaning and detailing of the interior and engine bay. To be fair, it'll probably be the roughest cab on the stand but I've only had it 3 months, I'm happy with how far it's come in that time and just wanted to bring it along to the event

Dave.Wilson
Reading all these makes me so jealous that I can't tag along... but fingers crossed my Mk3 cabby will actually be running by the weekend (so my mechanic mate tells me) and then if I have enough time to tidy it slightly ready for Holland then I will be happy... Got a loooong list of things I want to do over the winter, so hopefully I'll be ready to join you guys at all the shows next year. Look forward to seeing all the photos from the Fair... and might help me get some inspiration
