Guest adamk Posted January 21, 2011 Share Posted January 21, 2011 Not my car, a job im doing for a guy, just putting it all back together and getting it original. maybe of some interest to yis. Plans to put it back to factory spec, IE black bumpers grill xr3 body kit ect ect the last owner tuck it on him self to change the engine for a newer escort engine, Carb with ECU. not sure what model. but he made a hames of it, even tried to make the mk5/6 dash fit in the mk3 hole. Had to ripe out the whole wiring loom, and start from scratch. i have the engine bay cleaned up and pained back to white. that just 6 hours work so far. before i started after Tomorrow il be refitting an xr3 wiring loom, get her running, and then put the interior back in. then il be repainting bumper grill sill ect ect back to standard. LOL wee pics of the front. By no means Concourse, Just a tidy up and will keep the tim worm out and the last pic of my S1, in primer 2 week ago. getting it back on saturday, il start a new tread on it if interested. Mine was doing a very good impression of the grand canyon and was fit only for scrap. I remember many years ago finding a mk3 estate down the local breakers with a hard plastic dash (low spec car) and really wish I'd grabbed it! Just Roof wiring to sort and front screen is getting fitted tomorrow. so all just about ready to roll.
