Guest s11pyk Posted April 6, 2010 Share Posted April 6, 2010 ok, im happy with my cab, ish. its not a resto more a spare time project. the body is good, only fault is behind the back bumper where its dented a bit! so far iv not done a great deal but il let u no anyway; its supposed to be an se50 all blue. but its not all blue so the purists can look away now iv got some tidy 88 spec recaros for her! got some custom door builds to fit, painted my s2's in gloss black, fixed a few niggles, applied some stickers lol. (subtle i swear!) got a momo steering wheel! puma gear knob, cheeky rs badge in the oval on the bonnet (from an rs 1800) turbo bonnet, removed spots and any other clutter! and on friday will be buying konis and a 60mm drop (cant wait) its not a massive list but the cabs coming along nicely! pics will follow. just really want a blue hood and a turbo lump and that'll be me done. im about subtle and tidy. maybe pahse 2 will be smooth bumpers, flap over the filler cap, no spoiler, smooth bonnet and some nice rs 7's. but thats a long way off. for now im quite chuffed with the story so far Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guest s11pyk Posted April 6, 2010 Share Posted April 6, 2010 i know about the compromised handling/ride but cant help myself! i had a golf on coilovers sat on the floor and was always replacing stuff too! lowering is bad! but looks so good! its only a toy anyway, i have a company smoker to handle daily driving. i dunno if my cars already lowered, but next to degs rst cabby it looks like its on stilts! Guest s11pyk Posted April 16, 2010 Share Posted April 16, 2010 moving along nicely, got the oil changed and new coolant yesterday. have managed to wreck my front bumper but im in the process of fixing it. picked up my suspension, spare wheel and some mint 88 spec door cards. iv also fitted a new steering wheel boss and it feels tight again. all on top of my new headlights which are on and looking, well, new! (even though they're second hand lol) will not be long till its got an mot. i only get very little time to mess with the car in between work, the misses and having my son. but i will be ready this summer. iv decided its having the cam and lifters done as well as the clutch, cambelt and mounts. its gotta be quiet. how much for stem seals? sick of the smoke too Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guest s11pyk Posted May 5, 2010 Share Posted May 5, 2010 quick update on the car... iv been busy on ebay lol buying loads of stuff for the car. ordered some new lifters, also valve stem seals, gonna fit them when they turn up, got some aero wipers to fit. treated the car to a small bike size plate for the front! and iv got a cheeky m60 ring graphic on the bonnet. also fitted a brand new battery but now it wont idle? i changed the oil and coolant so i suppose its up to its usual tricks of a few treats making it act up. stupid car, but i do love it. oh and my bargain spare turned out to have a hole in it and a fooked tyre but i suppose you get what you pay for haha! possible pics soon?? il be at a show this summer for sure so keep your eyes out for us!
