Well im new here, my name is eddie,a few pics for you

Well here are the pics after i collected the mk3 today. It does need some tidying up here and there but for the money i paid it was a bargain.

The rear lights are going in favour of standard ones that came with the car.

Here is a small update from the past few days......

I took the car to Mark @ Medway RS Centre as he owed me a few favours so he kindly let me use his facilities, plus this way i am working under supervision and there is less chance of me going 100mph and butchering the car:rolleyes:

(A big thanks to mark for allowing me the use of his workshop, knowledge and patience)

anyway, the plan was to replace the damaged and rusty from wing, so this came off after the car was semi-stripped.....

and then after some poking around, and removing lots of filler, and even sylicone:mad: that was hiding under the paint i discovered this lot....

30032010310.jpg

30032010308.jpg

30032010306.jpg

30032010307.jpg

so then i took the front panel off.....

31032010315.jpg

so from an easy job of replacing a front wing, i now need to replace that, the front panel, both front sections of the inner wings, and some small repairs to the rear section of the inner wing.....:woohoo:

then, just maybe it can go for paint....

but on a plus note, the a pillars are solid, as are the sills, floor pan, boot floor etc....

the s1 kit is no longer going to be fitted,

so i may sell this to recoupe some money.

well thats if for now, ill keep updating as and when more work is done.
