Well been a long time but a little update.

She's still going strong although needs new HT leads.

Ordered them today for £10 plus VAT

Also ordered up a new pair of front wings for £60 plus VAT

Exhaust broke the other day so fitted a Scorpion Stainless Steel backbox too.

Well been busy repairing some spare doors i had as mine have the door skins pulling away. So once they are done, and i replace both front wings and 1 inner panel so will be back to looking good. ate of mine also has a brand new bonnet for me in his shed.

Well got the doors in primer now so once we start on the wings it will all be sprayed in Matt Black until the wrap happens

Also, she is missing real bad and running very poor.

If i hold the throttle steady she miss's and goes all the time, if i put my foot down she runs fine.

I have fitted new HT leads, and am gonna fit new plugs in the morning.

I have another dizzy cap from a Mk3 1.1 carb model, will this fit? If o i may change that. If it still runs funny i'll have to look at replacing the coil.

Also she cuts out on me when warm, as i put the clutch in to stop she drops revs and then stalls. Sometimes she struggles to idle correctly, with the revs moving up and down. Now on the zetec i know this would be the idle control valve. Is there a similar system on this engine and if so where, and how do i sort it?

Got a new wing for passenger side too, but as we got looking, what i thought was bad rust coming through turned out to be blistering under the paintwork, so we decided to tidy the wing up instead of replacing it

Also sorted out small bits of rust at the rear

All finished now.

Still a couple bits of trim to go back on but leaving it off until the next stage is complete. Oh and a pic of all the mud and dirt we took out of the arches.

looks excellent mate! i do like the matt black paint  you were lucky on that wing, that must of saved alot of time. it amazing how much crap comes out of the inner arches, grime!

about a month ago i saw a ad on ebay advertising mk3 beaking with a pic of your cab, wernt sure if you decided to break it or just selling parts or if someone pinched a pic for themselves?

Cheers guys. Engine seems to be ok one day and then not the next so i think something may need cleaning.

Yea i got told my cabby was on eBay for breaking, i sent them a rather "angry" message on eBay. It was soon removed.

Yea not having to do the other wing saved a lot of time and effort.
