Guest rodge
Is your new cab actually a 'c' reg as it looks like a private plate. I sold one like that recently and made a few hundred quid. You could have bought the car effectively for free if you sell the plate. Oh, and I'll buy your wheels if you're selling them! Dave,
Guest laurence
looks ok and a steal at that sort of money, like you I have too many cars aswell but i love them plus theres nothing but crap on the telly at night lol
Guest Alanman
Before you start rippin the dash out. Is the good dash a plastic one or a vinyl covered one? Ford put plastic ones in the basic models, but they dont look as nice. Its just that your tin top looks like a L, GL or something basic. IIRC the vinyl ones were put in the XR RS and ghia. But I suppose at the end of the day, is a good plastic on might be better than a fucked vinyl one? lol
Guest vinnyvangough
Yea the car is a C plate model. Was first used in Jan 1986. The other dash is only a plastic one, but before i put it in i would flock it. Yea the plate has been valued at £495 which would mean i would recieve £350, i have the letter in the documentation. Guest vinnyvangough
Yea exactly. Got her on the road today. Goes ok but i did notice it popped the oil cap off once!!! Possible Causes?
gingergman
theres quite a few possible casuses for it popping off, none are good to be honest, try the simple thing first and check the seal in the cap, if thats just worn then its a easy fix! if not then its not great news for the engine, however mine did it a fair bit before i had my engine fully rebuilt and didnt cause me problems , as long as it dont pop off while driving and all the oil goes awol lol,
gingergman
ive just done some reading up on this lol, most commen faults if not just the cap are, blocked breathers, or piston rings, altho piston rings would cause smoke out the exhaust, possible bottem end going. Guest vinnyvangough
Just looked at the cap and dont seem to be a seal on it, will get one off one of my other engines i think lol
