Nice, one thing though,you may want to paint the red screw heads on the tail light so it blends in with the lens itself.

Remove the rubber around it then it pops out. Best to check out the haynes for the tips though

LMFAO @ 5.7 litre caddy. As for the wheel bearings, I have a feeling it may be due to the wheels you have and the offset,plus its lowered.

Im confused over this. I find the 1.8 zetec 130 bhp faster than the 1.6 cvh xr3i. Myabe the zetec engine you had was in poor condition. I've driven both and could clearly say the zetec was faster.

Check the switch in the dashboard also and make sure votage is going to it in all positions.

Check all the wirings in the boot or it may be time for another fusebox, maybe the tracks inside it are burnt somewhere.

Sounds like the alternator or an internal breakdown in the loom wiring between the starter motor and alternator.

although if you do the above,you would have no central locking until you get it sorted

You could take the central locking/alarm fuse out, this should bypass it to allow you to get it started.

Nice, althought the design looks very similar to something already out there onthe market for sale. One that you should come up with is a projecter type front lamp unit for the mk5, similar to what is available for the mk6 from various styling companies.

I had this problem, I changed the ignition switch, Many of the original items tended to go faulty after and if you buy a new one you would see it is slightly different.

Think you would also need the fusebox and ECU

Change the resistor block on top of the motorwhere the connector goes on. There could be a bad earthing in the wiring somewhere.

As said above its on the gearbox and the speedo cable goes into it. Also known as a VSS Vehicle Speed Sensor.

Also check the fusebox or ignition relay aint gone.

Or do like I did,get the rainbow colour LED bulbfor your clock,and it is as bright as the standard colour bulb, plus it dont look non factory by shining the LED through the clock itself. Mine is bright got it on ebay, it shows, red, green (the norm), blue and purple.

Sometimes the resistor block on topof the blower fails.

If you can manually push the window up with your hands,once the window is in the up position - then your window regulator is worn and the metal cogs is worn preventing the electric motor jumping the gap.

Check the door drain holes aint clogged up with muck, then next the sill drain holes, stick something like a coathanger end up in it to clear it. Other place is behind the wheelarch liner near the sill.

Check the return hose to the tank, I had this problem. After years, it seems to come off slightly from pressure. I took both the supply & return off, and fully push them right in, never had a problem with the fuel smell after that.

Sounds like your roof plastic cog is broken inside the pump.
