Its pretty easy to do, but its damn time consuming, could be done in a day, best do it over a weekend !!! The Mk6 dash just bolts straight in no probs, but all the wiring is different adn a lot of splicing has to be done !!! But its well worth it !!!

Check that the boot light switch ain't kerknakerd, see if its going out by lowering your rear bench !!!

You might have a lose wire or a bad earth somwhere, I would check 'EVERY' front and rear bulb to make sure all the bulbs and wires are secure, check for signs of rust on the rear light bulb board contacts !!!

If you fancy having the head lamp washers on the mounts in front of the headlamps my mate wired a set up, he put a 'T' peice on the winscreen wash hose and fed it to the front, he used a set of white LED bonet washers for them, looked smart lit up, worked too !!!

Hi Mate, I had the same problem on my Mk5a, you can't get that type of bulb in LED form as its a weird type lol !!! Plus, if you did replace them with an LED buld they would be facing the wrong way, see the illistrations below !!! This is how they are in my Mk5a !!! As you can see the bulbs face away from the opening !!! If you fit LED bulbs you need to angle them !!! All I did was get brand new ORIGANAL bulbs, removed the old Orange fillter, you might have the light blue one, and replaced it with Vivid red gel film, my clocks were back lit with White LED's and front lit Red, looked safe !!!

What colour do you want it mate ??? I have gel film in the 'LAB', I could cut you a small peice to fit and all you do is use a standard bulb !!! I have a Mk4 clock and I can cut it to the right size for you !!!

Best getting a full K&N kit, they usualy come with all the gear, if you need T-Peices or hoses let me know what you want as my mate sells all this in his shop !!!
