  1. Ollie Put me down for this as well could you please? Car is back from bodyshop and should be getting it all put back together over Easter Weekend.
  2. Change the pump, they do a speed sensitive one on the Scorpio for example that people retrofit onto other models, makes the steering a lot better.
  3. Springy, where are you based? I may be able to help you out as have done many conversions on these and other items to make mk3 brakes work properly. Did you know there are 3 different rear wheel cylinder combinations and about the same on master cylinders?
  4. Got my ticket yesterday, but still sans-cabby at the moment. This would mean bringing the MK8 4wd Cabriolet again like last time if people were okay with it.
  5. See ya all in the morning as well. Aiming to be @ the Cafe for just after 7am.
  6. Just remember to post the plan up as I am aiming to be at the cafe if possible 😄 Won't be able to miss me, I will be in the Mk8 4wd Escort 😳
  7. Passionford have been told they will have them by next Wednesday at latest. They had to kick off at Kelsey as some of their members live abroad and will be leaving Wednesday evening. Last year, the ones abroad received their tickets at the end of August 😂
  8. We may yet be, depends if their drawing is accurate....
  9. Don't know about queuing to get in, but you will queue to get out as we are in the furthest corner of the place. You drive right down the left hand side and stop just before the grass by the cowsheds.
  10. All you need is the cap and rotor arm from a non-injection version with the Bosch cap. Had it on all my old xr3i models. The power drops off around 5000rpm if you leave it in. Doesn't work well if you have a cam that is working until over 6000 rpm having a restrictor like that.
  11. If in doubt, heat the washers up and then refit. You are basically reannealing them. Annealing is a heat process whereby a metal is heated to a specific temperature /colour and then allowed to cool slowly. This softens the metal which means it can be cut and shaped more easily. If there is a slight imperfection, this can help overcome it
  12. Where is the campsite that you guys stay at as well? Might possibly stay the night after, am not sure yet.
  13. What time do you guys normally have an evening meal after the show? Might be interested in popping along if it is not too late.
  14. You could always look at the octane adjustment plug (white 3 pin one) either by the battery or coil pack. Chances are a wire may be shorting out
  15. The mk4 does not have a central locking motor. The front doors are both masters so work together. What are you trying to do?
  16. Booked. Be driving down on the day though
  17. For reference there are 2 types as above, with and without spoiler. The one without spoiler is longer and has the code AA at the end. The spoiler version is shorter and had the code BA at the end. The poundages for these are 300nm for the non-spoiler one and 350nm for the spoiler version. If you speak to SGS Engineering, they can make you one for the spoiler version which is the standard length but with a different load setting of up to 700nm. I have just done this on my cabby with the Mk5 hatchback spoiler fitted and once opened about 6 inches, thebbootlid gracefully lifts up to the max height and stays there. Cost was a lot cheaper than Ford as well.
  18. Hi, I'm in and paid up for this one as well.
  19. Would highly recommend them. We had our one done around 2003 and it was custom-made to fit the car and stitched by sewing machine there and then. The quality of the materials is top notch and it still looks immaculate over 10 years later
  20. Well, fitted the new downpipe yesterday as it was cracked (hence my no-show at the last Battlesbridge) so it is ready for its early MOT this coming Saturday and will then be out for brekkie as usual all things being even.
