Yea the sunday seems ok, as long as it is not on the same day as other cab club shows. -
Right, i see , i have a couple of donor cars outside and they do suffer at this time of year wth exactly the same symptons as your car. Its the british weather i,m afraid unless you use them everyday or put them in a garage they will get damp inside and the seats do go a bit mouldy. I might be an idea if the weather is dry at the weekends to leave the windows ajar.

you are right 8k is madness, they do come up on here for sale now and then,take your time and dont rush into buying the first one that comes along.

There are some thin hoses around the inlet manifold,check them for condition,i put some silicon around the ends of mine its done exacyly 100k and runs superb.

Second hand mk5 spares are quite cheap to buy over here,get a whole car for breaking for £300.00 pounds.

Good low milage few owners wont come up very often,so realy the car is only worth what you are prepared to pay for it. Would not have thought there will be to many people who are willing to pay out 4.5k so its a buyers market offer 3k as a start and hope to pay around 3.5k. Good luck.

I agree with stu, wait for something better, £1500 should see you bag a very good one that needs very little doing. Dont rush into buying rubbish cos there is alot of em about.Buying a rough one for £500 will end up costing you 2-3 thousand overall.
