Guest Frencch Tony
Hi all I have a 1986 Mk4 Ghia Cabriolet, LHD, made in Germany. It is currently fitted with aftermarket mags and 195x50x15 Pirelli P700 tyres. I find the low speed steering very stiff and the ride is choppy with some scuttle shake. i am considering going back to the original 5Jx13 steel wheels with 155x80 R13T tyres. Does anyone have a photo of a cab with original wheels? Everybody seems to have fitted mags! Also any comments on going back to the original size tyres. Chris
As an optional extra they were also fitted with the 14inch dogleg alloysm the same as the xr3i, They came with a 14inch steel rim as standard, 13inch was only on the lesser engine models.1.1 to 1.
Guest Frencch Tony
Hi all Thanks for the input. Don't forget, this is an early car (carburettor engine) manufactured in Germany. The spare wheel that I have, which appears original is a 5J wheel fitted with a 155x80 R30T tyre. Frencch Tony Sorry about the two c's in French, but I mispelled it when joining the club.
