Guest Simmo24
Newbie Here, Contemplating getting my wife's 94M Escort 1.8si cabriolet that has been in the family for 12 years and has only done 62k miles resprayed. I am not looking for show standards but to get the work done to enjoy the car, my concerns are with regards to certain trims the main one being the rubber trim that goes around the roof between the lower part of the rear window and the boot shut. Is this part available from FMC or is there a pattern part on the market. The rest of the car is sound barring the lower wheel arches and rust blisters on the quarter panel near the rear windows. Looking forward to asking you guys advice and help in locating interior parts. Simmo24
Guest Milkey
Would you consider a 2nd hand part? There's usually a few breaking on eBay so you should be able to find one in decent condition on there. If you find a decent one breaking you may be able to pick any other parts you may need whilst you're at it...

Guest Simmo24
Thanks for the feedback, Don't fancy spending £1500 for a respray only to be let down by cosmetic finishing touches. Its a sound car that keeps passing the mot and only does a 1.000 miles a year. Simmo24

allblue
When I checked two years ago you could still get the rear rubber trim. You're best checking with your local ford dealer. Or try fordpartsuk on the net. They usually ny old stock from other ford garages. I got my rear trim second hand from a cab that had only covered 60k, so it was like New. I too need to get my rear arches restored.
