Admin Ollie Posted May 20, 2013 Admin Share Posted May 20, 2013 easy job kelly have you got the seats already ? pics please
gingergman
Make sure the rear top part back rest of the seat is from a cabriolet as the tin tops are different. Only 4 10mm bolts holding each front seat in, two at the front and one each side, straight swap over and the rear seat base is on by two bolts under the hinge, pop the cover off and you'll see them, the back piece, pop the seat down using the pull in the boot and you'll see the hinges at the bottom, 3 torx head screws each side, if you ain't got star torx then some Allen keys will fit. Its all a straight swap that can be done in under a hour.

gingergman
I initially thought this, but wasn't very clear, I've never seen it, don't personally see how its possible, if you was in the back you'd be sat very high! would take some seriously serious modification to work imo

RScab
You can lower the Recaro seats by stripping down the seat base & removin the small welded sections on the bottom the cover will then need to be shortened (doesn't look to bad a job) leaves the seat support mesh/rubber close to the floor but if there goin in the rear you may need to fabricate some fixin brackets anyway am shortening my recaro's in my Landie not finished yet tho

Guest Kelly Jeffery
she seems to be solid the battery tray needs replacing but its common an expected it im going to give her a good clean out see how easy it will be to sort the seats out but the mean time I need another back seat (the bottom peace) then think about a re-spray as its is a little shoddy
