Right Its already April and Bigcab is not out and its just not on, so I've spent to last few week getting one's finger out of one's ass and sorted it.

It not been painted for 2 years and the body work has needed a bit of a fettle and we also needed to update the interior.

Outside:

Repair where its cracked chipped, scratched, rubbed or reacted. Pritty much every panel.

Bumpers off and anything that cannot be seen when back together has been hammerited.

Then all the bits repaired

Prob no need but felt better covering the whole car as there was areas reacting. I'd rather sort this now, rather on paint day.

Next Engine bay:

We've decided to keep the engine bay the white as Clare changes the colour of the car quite regular, white goes okay with any colour. So a simple repair rub down and quick blow over was needed.

A bit dusty but looking smart

Interior:

The old cream seats were sold before christmas so new seat were needed. We'd got one particular seat in mind but a phone call last week put the dampners on that, there wasnt any currently in the country.

So we checked out Demon Tweeks to find some Sparco R333 at a very reasonable price. They arrived yesterday.

They are amazing :-)

Painting new colour:

The car is 99.9999% ready for its new coat and is going Friday. We cant wait. The colour we're going is the Ultimate Green off the Focus RS so should turn some heads. lol.

As soon as its back its just a matter of fitting it all back up and we're ready to roll for 2012, all be it middle of April.

Sneak preview.

Its very green but its going to be mega. Bigcab's been white and subtle for the last 2 years. I think we're far from subtle now. mwhahaha.

Lol. It does look scary but is not a car to be subtle. Once its all back together it will look better. Been again today and it looks better without the masking tape. Should be all done and back together for end of weekend I recon.

Spent all night tonight polishing the alloys ready to go back on.

This weekend all the inner arches and calipers have with a fresh coat of paint and the wheels have been put back on.

Now the wheels are back on its defo looking more like bigcab and less scary.

Door mirrors and a few rubber and the windsreen also refitted.

Few more nights in the garage should do it and I recon we could be out at the weekend getting some photos.

The seats are the next bit that I'm looking forward to.

Long live BigCab. :salut_gb:

All built back und look wicked. Just need to wait for rain to piss off and we can take it out for pictures.

We did take it out at the weekend but it pissed it down before we could take pics.

As soon as they're done we'll put them up.

These 2 pics taken with a phone are like the holy grail. They are the only pics we have of the car so far. lol.

This was last weekend, we were getting ready to nip out for some 'propper' photos but got caught in the rain minutes after this so it never happened. Luckily my nephew took a couple of quick snaps. So here ya go. Some better pics will be forthcoming once we can get out and do some more.

It looks the tits out in the sun and we'll definately be seen now. lol.
