Whats the single best mod youve done to your cab???

Mine was to fit a strut brace  Really tightened up the front end and made it feel a lot more stable on our rubbish bumpy roads

Another of my best mods was 4wd cosworth calipers mintex 1144 pads and drilled and grooved cosworth 2wd front discs :drivin:

standard xr3i brakes are poor and even worse when fitted with abs

Do you rate the Gmax stuff then avul??? it was fitted on my cab when i bought it and to be honest thought it rode like a roller skate it was rock hard and uncomftable to drive basically you hit a bump and it was that hard your foot would lift off the throttle pedal  Was thrown in the bin after 2 days of driving it was brand new too lol mine now rides on brand new monroe gasmatics and avo 35mm springs handles well and the rides not too hard

hi paul, yea i thought the Gmax were quite gd, they r very firm but i never had the foot lift off the throttle like u said u had, i just loved the way it just stuck 2 the road & where i'd put the nose thats exactly where it would go, i think its a personal thing but i do like a firm ride, i dont like body roll  lol, take it urs is just how u like now? ave u got any pics on the site?

  • 2 weeks later...

Polybush it with decent superflex bushes throughout.

Oh, and completely rebuild it.

Maybe the series 1 rs turbo front tie-bar assy?

Though when I finaly finish it it might be the 2.0ltr Zetec and series 2 rs turbo lsd gearbox.
