Although 9 yrs ago Hubby and I owned a cabby (got written off after spending ££££ re-building her ) I would like to buy myself another one as a toy for when I am not carting the kids about! I am looking at a Tennis Ltd edition on a G plate with tax and mot. It has cossy front and back bumpers rs skirts and mondeo rims. Guest mum_of_4 Posted January 22, 2011 Share Posted January 22, 2011 Thanks for replying. The engine is standard but it has cossie bumpers, Turbo skirt kit and mondeo rims. So is that good or bad? Its got 9mths MOT and 3 mths tax. 2 rust patches (not major) the roof drips a little where the drivers window fits into roof rubber. How much do you think it's worth? It may have a mot but have u checked it on dvla site for its history may be on the road now but in a few month cost u alot more. chaz Posted January 23, 2011 Share Posted January 23, 2011 Looks like a good cab, if you like her then she is worth the money, the way I always though is do I want to lose a good car that I like for maybe 100 or two hundred quid, No. I feel that the bumpers looks to big for it but that's my opinion and they can be changed but if you like it then that is good as you are buying it for youself and not to please other people. Guest corrie Posted January 23, 2011 Share Posted January 23, 2011 hi tracy i agree with ollie dont let it get away. if you have the cash make an offer of 900 he can only say yes or no. its a nice little starting block for you. you will only kick yourself if you dont go for it. d if your thinking of putting the bumpers back to original you will recoup some of your money anyway. ive always liked the mk4 tennis edition white is a good colour for a cab but saying that i always liked the green one they brought out on the mk4. good luck with trying to buy it. I am Picking it up on wednesday - then the fun begins. Thanks to all of you that have given me feedback and if anyof you have any white bumpers and original wheels let me know as could do a deal on some spare front seats!! The seats have seen better days to be honest. one of them has a chunk of sponge and leather missing of the back rest and the bottom is hanging out of one of them.
