If you do want the original front and rear ones I think I still have the full set. Thanks Avril

Thanks Avril cheers basil your a star. :@)im looking at getting some aftermarket ones though as id imagine the standards wouldnt sound to great with a non standard stereo.are the rears 10cm too? i,ll be keeping my eyes peeled for a set of non hacked rear pods shortly too lol. does the dash have to be unscrewed at the bottom as the old cracked ones where difficult to fit as the metal panel behind is shaped...... gingergman
unscrew the bottom side star bolt on the dash that the door covers when closed, that gives loads more room to do it

Basilbear
cheers bud. i tryed to undo that with a flat screw driver as i could,nt find my star drive of that size lol.i guess i,ll have to find it before i attemp to fit em. Dave, when I replaced my front ones I found that the passenger side speaker cover could be wedged up just by undoing the 2 dash bolts by the door....but the drivers side has a shelf under the steering wheel in the dash and you have to undo more of the dash on the drivers side to enable it to slide up behind without breaking the cover. I found that if you undid the centre dash screw thats hidden behind the heater controls as well as the ones by the doors it allows it to come out enought to slot the covers up both sides. And yes the rear speakers are the same size as the fronts....all 10cm (4"). thanks Avril Edited December 17, 2010 by Basilbear

Guest Savage
Set of 4" / 10cm's fit fine front and back. I opted for some cheap Tornado in front and a set of PowerBlasters in the rear. Although they dont sit flush in the original Ford mount, if you shave off the raised bit on the mount, they work fine and once covers are over, they look good: Mk5: Front mount after trimming with a stanley: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_w52M6-xbH2o/TJk8T_9YufI/AAAAAAAAAEw/WtJbB6bFH00/s320/IMG_0740.JPG Rear showing the mount: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_w52M6-xbH2o/TKzgdqvVnXI/AAAAAAAAAFY/VqTDFNUXWaQ/s320/IMG_0865.JPG http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_w52M6-xbH2o/TKzgoLHk3_I/AAAAAAAAAFc/O7Z0QJnpmH0/s320/IMG_0866.JPG Rear finished: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_w52M6-xbH2o/TKzgs6S3FtI/AAAAAAAAAFg/y_ZicX_YtzA/s320/IMG_0867.JPG www.floppythrottle.blogspot.com

iansoutham
A good set of 13cm (5.25") speakers will fit in the front on the MK3/4 models, but the locating lugs will need to be cut back. I then use a foam-backed draught excluder tape to seal between the metalwork and the speaker. This keeps the sounds "nice" and stops it from being misdirected. Make sure that the speakers are not too deep otherwise they will not clear the back of the enclosure. On the rears, only 10cm (4") will fit and they would need to be shallow to miss the roof frame. Sony customs are shallow enough, but I use the 2010 edition InPhase on the rear as they have a redesigned setup meaning that they are shallower and lighter while still producing more output than older versions.
