ianxr3i
I thought I might as well make the effort. I was being left behind with all the sparkling white cabs within the club. LOL I am starting to strip the engine next week - I will keep the pic's coming
gingergman
nice mate! any idea what that spoiler is originally off? mk5? mine use to have the same one before i had it painted and removed,
ianxr3i
Yes mate the spoiler is off a MK5, I have changed the boot lid which has a RS boot spoiler fitted which I got given to me. I have looked all over the car & I was very surprised with the small amount of tin worm I found, so happy days not to much grinding & welding to be done - the main panel to be changed will be the front panel. chaz
That's all it needs TLC, the cab looks very solid.
ianxr3i
I have been playing a bit more on the cabby. I removed the crankshaft which had a groove from the rear seal housing - pictured below and replaced with another crankshaft with new shells then I sorted out the block then decided to de-dimple the gearbox casing to try & polish it to a smooth surface Then the fan shroud got a clean & a coat of fresh black paint
Guest Lee81
Be careful with the crank. I belive that ford had the crank machined to match the individual block. If you want to put in a diffrent crank the block and crank have to machined to match again. Don't know weather anyone can confirm this
ianxr3i
I have changed numerous cranks on CVH engines & never had a problem. That is the first time I have heard of this.
