Guest Pgups
This is the life of my MK4 Cab so far: Original image from the late 80's when the car was almost new The colour was changed many years later once it started to get tatty: This is how it looks today: The wheels were temp whilst an alternative set were refurbed. I will have more images soon as the car is currently being converted to a turbo.

gingergman
how long you had it sitting in a garage?
Guest Pgups
errrrrr...... Think i put it away in 2007. long time ago i need to stretch its legs. Once the turbo is in and i have had a bit of fun i will sell it to someone who can look after it. How much do turbo cabs go for these days? its on an 87 plate and all the panels are straight. Guest Pgups
Hi All, A quick update as I have been off the site for a while. I have been a busy bee building a new garage with power and lots of light for the cabriolet. Last weekend I finally got the car into its new home along with all the bits and bobs needed. This weekend I put the bottom end back into the car along with the gear box and today I got the RST loom into the car! I'm getting quite excited now as there is light at the end of the tunnel. I also fitted new valve stem seals to the head to stop any oil burning in the pots so once the new gasket set arrives I will be able to put the head into the car! I'm a little worried about all the plugs and stuff but I guess once the engine is in they will be obvious on where they go. (I'm hoping!)I also have a friend who is an excellent mechanic and he used to own an RST so fingers crossed he will be able to help. I should have some pictures soon to show you the progress and maybe ill be able to meet some of you soon when the car is running.

Guest Pgups
Evening All! Spent the day in the garage with the cab again today. I have now got the head bolted on with new bolts and a new water pump and timing belt. The trouble I have now though is knowing where all the plugs go! If anyone is able to help I am after some close up photo's round the back of the inlet manifold and around the fuel system on the right side of the engine bay. On the back of the inlet manifold do the plugs just match the colours of the block it goes in to? I need to go to a breakers yard I think and take a good look at it all. Any help or advice will be much appreciated. I think I will have it running within a couple of weeks now. just the turbo and radiators to be put in and its sorted. (well and the dash and all the other bits I have taken off of it!)

Guest Pgups
MORE HELP! Next to the big plug going into the ECU behind the heater box I have two single flat connectors. Does anyone know what these are to be connected to? Theres nothing within 6 inches of the area that the plugs would reach? Im thinking that the car the loom came from might have had some sort of added/modified extra but I dont know wha?
