hi there i am new to posting on this forum but I thought I would give it a try and see if you like wot I am doing I have been working on this car now for 2 years and if I can upload photos I will let you guys see wot you think, please bear with me cos am not that computer literate more used to using spanners through the day and not keyboards lol

well where do I start my son bought it for 100 quid about 5 years ago and left it parked up the back of my house it is a realy good shell with no issues like battery tray or fuse box areas,he just wasnt interested so there it stood for two and a half years eventually it annoyed me that much that I started working on it,I have my own small garage buisness and ive been in this trade for 20 years so tools and equipment werent the issue so I started by removing the wings and front pannel and whilst they were off re sealed the inner wings etc put new ones on then I got a new rs turbo bonnet got loads of parts off them had them years ago and i dont throw anything out, then i went underneath it was a mess so i pulled it all apart and renewed all I could, you mention it and its probably new, pipes ,tank ,bearings ,hubs ,etc and two new chassis legs one had a small hole in I did all this before I painted it as you can see it was in a bit of a state

is the first picture how you got it? if not have you got any pics of when you bought it

lee the first picture is after I had put the wings on and someone mentioned that I should keep a record of what i am doing so i bought a camera I dont have any pics of its original state but it was alot worse than that picture, i usually build things for pleausure lol

I live in northumberland in a small village called bolton I do all the work myself for the prep and i have a good friend who puts the paint on all the other stuff is done by me, hes a good painter i havent done the inside or the engine yet its only got 34k on and i have all the old mots so i think its gen i will post some more pics
