gingergman
nice, i like it, arches are diffrent, good to see something diffrent for a change! what engine you going for and any plans on the final colour?
Guest jerseycabby
thanks you for your replys guys and i must agree on your comment on the arches being differnt makes a change from seeing the same thing day in day out and the fact that there not made from fiberglass is even better the colour im keeping it to is red as i wanna keep this car fairly orginal with added details... the engine im am going to be using is a 1800 zetec kitted out on twin 45 carbs or maybe if im lucky a friend might give me his stright 180bhp zetec 1800 on throttle bodys all kitted out all depending with a nice fancy gearbox with mega low ratio's but a high 5th gear

Guest jerseycabby
regarding other messages i am not to sure when it will be ready or finnished as im taking my time i am doing as much as i can to every detial without going over the topp i am hoping before summer and maybe take to ford fair as i think it should get some looks but in order to get it done by then i need atleast another £10,000 to get it up to show spec and i do very much a gree on the rally slag look as they do kinda remind me of the old forest styled arches like on the mk2 escorts somthing to pick your brain's 18's on a mk4 can it be done?????? dont thing i seen before also im looking out for a full brand new door and window seal set any idears ?? gingergman
18s have been done before, looks mean!! will be very heavy steering tho as ud have them wide to fill the arches. pm basilbear on here, i think she got new reproduced window seal set from kent trim supplies, you wont find new ford ones and if you do they will be so high priced. hope that helps!! Guest Alanman
somthing to pick your brain's 18's on a mk4 can it be done?????? dont thing i seen before HI mate, car looks wicked by the way. 18s should be fine. I ran 18s on my mk4 although it did rub a little, thats due to the comedy standard suspension. I'd have though with some decent shocks and springs you'll be fine especially with the extra clearence. I cant see how much off the photos, but I assume you'll be needing spacers on the front. The only issue you MAY come across, is regards the full lock and the wheel hitting the bulk head and/or the inner wing. Our Mk4 with 18s
