hi folks, just stuck the cabby in a garage for the winter. been lookin at other restos on here and some seem daunting to say the least, but it needs done and thats it so will be posting updates of all upgrades and modifications. the plan as it stands is new low miles 2.0 zetec engine conversion, straighten out all panels, underseal, new carpet, re-upholser seats in leather, modify dash (tv/cd/dvd & sat nav), rear brake disc conversion, and then hopefully have time for new paint job. im a electronic engineer/ architechural ironmonger by day (super hero by night) so hoping to do most of it myself. always wanted a mk3/4 so bought one 18 months ago and never looked back, lookin forward to getting my hands dirty and will post as much as i can. cheers.

hey troops, been a while but not much has happend. the whole time scale thing has come into play, the boss gave me a promotion (more hours), the missus is nagging about getting the house finished (every aspect of every room), and the scottish winter has took its toll (fu*king freezing). anyhows not to be to laid back i still intend to sort out some pics and a story of how things are going to be. need to get my finger out and stop dreamin. its going to be hard. 2.0 zetec engine transplant is on the egender and making it work might be tight but here goes............................. update soon.

WORKED OUT HOW TO SORT SOME PICS, TO START IS WHEN I BOUGHT IT. 700 MILE ROUND TRIP DOWN SOUTH TO FIND ONE. BUT WORTH IT IN THE END.

THIS PHOTO WAS TAKEN IN LONCOLN WHERE I BOUGHT HER, DROVE HER UP THE ROAD TO SCOTLAND AND USED FOR AROUND 16 MONTHS UNTIL I TOOK HER OFF THE ROAD TO TIDY UP. SOME BIG PLANS FOR DASHBOARD ETC BUT ZETEC ENGINE CONVERSION MAY BE PUT ON HOLD UNTIL SUMMER ENDS, 1.6 CVH STILL PULLS REALLY WELL SO NO RUSH, GIVES ME MORE TIME TO BUILD A ZETEC TURBO IN WORK FOR NEXT SUMMERS FESTIVITIES .[
