Admin Ollie Posted March 22, 2009 Author Admin Share Posted March 22, 2009 yep marky engine is in had a few problems on the way got to take the loom back out due to the previouse owner cutting the last one about ( not sure if he had an imobilser or something ) rs 1600i anti roll bar is on just a matter of finding and fitting all the interior trim back together now lol but now it is home i can put some hours in even put a door bell in the garage so i can be belled when dinner is ready hope to get to ford fair in it ( we shall see ) ollie Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

On mine i've done quite a bit so far and only need to prep the engine bay for stone chip paint white (dries rockhard) , re-waxoil her again,and drop the engine back in !!. I've fully stripped out the interior and dash (the dash will eventually be flocked black with a electric blue glovebox door , cowel and centre console (been quoted 130 on ebay . I've allready added s1 rs stripes with se instead of rs on the wing . The alloys i have re-sprayed myself ,for now they look good enough with the new black with blue rs emblem centre stickers i got on ebay for peanuts to refresh them a bit more. The s' rack, struts,hubs,btm block,front torsion bar,g'box,w'pump,fuel phelum have also had a coat or two of paint !!,the calipers are still to be done lol allmost there !!. Also lowered it 60mm,put on a fuel pump as mine hummed BADLY !!. Only another few weeks and mine will be done thank god !!. I should of done loads of photo's of mine but i didn't have the patientence to be honest !!,i'll post some pics soon though. My plates 999 by the way lol 444 up from yours ,do you know how to find out when ours came from the ltd amount to this country (200 came to uk i think,694 in TOTAL europe sales for 1 year only lhd/rhd ?,tell me if i'm wrong ?),have you looked it up properly ?,very little info i have found so far. Admin Ollie Posted May 20, 2009 Author Admin Share Posted May 20, 2009 hello m8 glad you got here look forward to some piccys my cab has been a slow process of late due to a few problems i have had with the wireing on the rs1600i coilpacks etc i have tried everything i can and then decided to run it on the dizzy for now untill i can find some one who has used the 16i loom before i finaly got the car running this weekend at last i thought. although it was running like a bag of poo lol something was not rite was noisy and white smoke out the back that i thought was just unburnt fuel due to the car had been over fueling for a while :wow: no the head gasket has gone took the drain plug out of the sump and it was full of water. so got to take the head of and get it skimmed if they can do it fingers crossed hey Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I have seen a stage 3 3i/rs head (power enginering on ebay and the bloke has also got other s1/s2 parts ,he offered me a front chrome strut brace piper 285 cam ,stage 3 p'e' head and a kent adjustable pulley for £320 and he's in swansea ,don't know if its any good to you ?. I'll upload some pics soon mate just need some drier weather lol , the arches were given a clean and are ready for hammerite now,the bay has seen some davids primer then filler primer over the top today aswell (allmost ready for white paint now thank god !!. Chat soon mate ,u know of any se info' you can point me towards ?,is that few pics of the se on the road an old add ?,where did you get that from ?,would love some info on production line numbers for the uk as i want to know what number mine is lol !!.
