I was 19 when I got mine and admiral were the cheapest. 10 months for £1400 but u got a years no claims. Bonus accelerator I think. I think mine is group 14 that's why there expensive.
My local factors could get em but there was like a £7 delivery charge for Bosch bits so I got em off ebay. Honestly give em a go it's like a new car lol
I have just changed my spark plugs to Bosch fr6dcx instead of ngk and it has made a world of difference. I think that grey module is a suppressor. Other things I have tried are the throttle position sensor on the throttle body and the map sensor. But the plugs by far have made the biggest difference.
I may have stumbled across a thread on passion ford about rough running cvh efi's. As it turns out if you are using ngk plugs the electrode is slightly too short. I have now fitted a set of Bosch FR6DCX plugs and I cannot believe the difference. I'm running efi turbo by the way and set the gap to 1mm.
Mine runs on base idle as the iscv never worked right. It still pulls nicely. As Ian and Ollie know after helping me put an Anglia alternator belt on at Santa pod lol
Never lol. Hmm what to do lol. I did get a decompression plate last time just incase the head had been skimmed too much but they said hardly anything had been taken off and they only did a light skim. So decided against it because some say to use 2 gaskets and some use some type of sealer to attach to the block. I sold that anyway lol. What brand gasket is yours mate?
I did think about those but I've heard mixed reviews. Most seem to reckon genuine ford gaskets are good for 350bhp. The last one that popped was a felpro gasket. That blew between cylinders 2 and 3.
