  1. It's fine on tick over and under load it only seems to splutter when I'm trying to maintain a speed around 1200 to 200rpm
  2. Yeh it's efi. I was thinking the coil pack could be a problem. Gonna take the spark plugs out today and have a look. I've still been using it for a few days but its no better and I've got it fairly warm lol.
  3. Should the revs pick up a bit when I unplug it? Like it was on choke? Because it seemed to make no difference at all lol
  4. Hi all! I decided to give my engine a little wash with the sponge the other day and ever since it's had a misfire when I've just got my foot on the accelerator slightly at around 1500rpm. Last night I unplugged every bit off wiring I could find (edis throttle sensor co pot etc) and blew out with the air line but still no better so started unplugging things with it running. When I unplugged the co pot nothing happened. Is this correct or has this died? Thanks people!!
  5. Mine gets quite high on the gauge before the fan kicks in too, I also have a new stat and thermo switch. It is also efi turbo.
  6. It's alive!!! God knows what that little black box was for because it runs perfectly without it. Thanks for your help people!! Much appreciated 😊
  7. No joy on eBay as yet but I'll keep looking. And all the local breakers haven't got one. If the wires just pass through it then it should work if I bypassed it. I've cut it and soldered it now and gonna try it in a bit
  8. The pump itself works. It seems that the black box on the underneath of the plate on the top has packed up. Does anyone know what this is and if it can be bypassed?
  9. Cheers welshlad. I've checked that small earth and that's all good. I've disconnected the battery and put a pack on the body and the wire in the boot where the cut out switch was that goes to the pump but still no pump but I traced the wire back to the relay and there's power. Going to drop the tank tomorrow and put power straight to the pump and see if it has died.
  10. Hi there. I drove home today fine, went to go out again and it started but then cut out. Tryed to start again and noticed no humming from the pump. I got rid of the cut out switch ages ago so I checked the connection under the spare wheel and put a bulb on it and nothing. Swapped around all the yellow relays, one under dash and two in the fuse box and still nothing. Has anyone got any ideas????
