  1. me to fix all the cars but not now doing my own thing the problem I have is a hard pedal on my cab and not quite locking up but since I adjusted the rod I have left side locking up so think I change callipers , trying to do my xr2 front end rebuild and engine not took the rest of body kit off yet opps so might need sills lol wife not to please just got my hands on some pepper pots £30.50p lol pick up from stoke . some one might have change the servo befor on your motor ,there is two different one I just found that out lol none abs servo wont fit abs master not happy
  2. bit at a time if you remove master and put a bar on the pedal the rod will come out more i had a right job unding it go on you tube it tells you about it put in brake booster adjustment i still playing with mine , lol need to replace my pipes on a calliper lets me no if ite works just count how many turns you do . are your brakes hard or just got a lot of pedal travel
  3. hi chap I got mk4 with abs I removed abs and brakes went crap , in the end I had to adjust the rod in the servo its helped also found drivers side calliper was not working correctly so need to order one up hope this helps
  4. right done some digging might have found my fault ,have a read Compensation port is the tiny hole in the bottom of the master just ahead of the seals, that when exposed at rest, releases the brake fluid pressure to atmosphere pressure. It also allows for a slight new charge of fluid if necessary. You may have your master/booster rod a hair too long, not long enough to keep pressure on the system, but enough to push the reaction disk in the booster. Loosen the master mounts on the booster a bit and retest. If good, shorten the rod a hair.   6. here we go again done every thing to these brakes still hard pedal the only thing i have notice is its got more brake dust on passenger side not changed the callipers yet is there a other brake servo I can fit like off a Mondeo please help thanks

  11. remove belt and spin the alternater you will here it if the bearing has gone or your belt needs replacing

    was unable to use the xr2 head wont fit on efi bottom were the valve sits its not full circle

    sorted mate i used one of my efi engine and also found in the back of the shed an bar head so no need for the conversion plate big valve as well . all built today need bolts for the manifold well happey when found that head

    i agree my pants whent brown locked up brakes then ended up on the other side of the road .soon cut them off . lot better
  18. any where i can get new one from just the tube . this one in to tight it going to snap I building turbo engine .
  19. need a bit info is the dipstick tube lock tighted in and is the standed cvh 1.6 dip stick the same as a turbo engine at last i found a good bottom end to do my converrsion

    all sorted c0 on 2% runs good until my mate snapped my fuel pipe any one got one efi pipe is from filtter to rail not happy

    if I screw the air screw out 1 and a half turns and adjust the co2 pot it go to cut out . so I screwed it out to 3 turns then readjusted the pot it runs grate revs and drops were it should . so to morrow ill get it checked at mates garage
