  1. Ok thanx didn't think of that but makes perfect sense rear will be perfect then pair of bearings , pair of shoes ,pair of cylinders do u think they will stock it for a car this old last year they was unable to help me on a fuel pipe I will give them a go fingers crossed

  2. Unfortantley the o/s/ r wheel bearing failed on my mk 5 Saturday night on the a1m and had to be recovered on a low loader not a good experience thank god I have rac cover a mechanic as just looked at it and said it needs a new stub axle he seems to think I will have trouble getting a brand new one any one else had any problems getting one then just to top it all of he then tells me the bearing on the other side as gone plus brake cylinder so not a good week on the plus side if I get the bits she will be done for the aux bridge show

  3. I know this question as probley been asked loads of times before but can any one recomend any good insurance company's that are in no way related to Adrian flux as they have given me nothing but grief and I don't intend useing them again if I can help it thanx mark

  4. These are like hens teeth if the rubber is in good shape and only problem is it lifting up take it of clean the car and the rubber and stick back on with windscreen sealer it worked for us have heard it of other people as well good luck

  5. Best thing may be to do is just type mk6 escort on ebay then u will see what styles are avaiable and there's plenty of pictures on ours we had mk 6 si alloys when we brought her then changed to rs soft line alloys thing that is the correct name I would show u a picture but don't no how to if u look a few show pictures that may give u an idea as well good luck what ever u decide

  6. Same as that as well got my rears from ford as for hood rubber clean it up and stick it back on with sealer with ours we sealed it one person held the rubber on whilst the other carefully and slowly raised the roof this held it in place till dry 2 years on still no trouble good luck

  7. I think we should try swapping the whole roof and mech from the mk6 to the mk5 then if that works then fit a new roof to that mech it don't take that many bolts to swap over then it answers the question then if it works then we can refit the rear trim
