Know the feeling with ebay jokers had that trouble last year they had the part I had the funds but they don't want to talk I think they love the power of haveing something you need don't give up it's worth the fight in the long term

Like all blue says cat c affects resale value big time if u pay a lot bless and intend to keep for a long time it ain't to much of an issue but they are a night mare to sell on had a couple of cat c moters and was a real issue come resale time good luck

For those of us that stay on site after the show it's self we normally go for a meal last year we had a toby caravary just thought I would mention the last couple of Toby's have made me book on line in advance so it may be worth looking in to before next Sunday lets hope the weather improves

The last 3 mk5 upper rear seats I have removed have always been tight but once all bolts removed should just lift up out the way the ends slide in near where the bolts come out if my memory's right will have look at mine tommow when I am back home

Got a plate welded in mine as well then sealed up behind it then waxoill you are better to repair what you have and keep the original wings with the original spot welds as it seems such an original car interior looks nice and original

I make it very clear from the beginning of a job that I am very OCD with my wheels then they know to be cautious from the beginning of the job had a company in Dunstable damage a set of alloys but they did pay for them to be refurbished to be fair

Like the colour and standard spec alloys changed my grill to the same as yours mine is a face lift mk5 93 L reg rs2000 front was originally looking at mk6 but my mk5 caught my eye would up load a picture but dont know how to look forward to more pictures of yours

Welcome to the club good to see another mk5 being saved as not many people love these most prefer the mk4 look forward to reading how you progress on it on one of my wings had a small plate welded as rest of wing was ok good luck mark

Looks good I think a tight fit is better less likey to blow of I would cover them wheels up to stop people tempting to be nosey of what's under the cover just the wheels showing you can see it's something special but if covered they know nothing and it could be any thing under there

Local moter / paint factor may be able to help most should have a colour scanner which will read your cars colour then come up with the aproite colour it is and then a formula to mix it up good luck and let us all know what it is when u do find out

I am quite lairy with colours I agree with Ollie red is a good contrast and matchs the red you already have on the car
