  1. Wow!. what days they were.. never to be repeated..whilst were gone from the boards we'e not forgetten to keep in touch As for where they/cars are now.. Tony Arnold former ECC corodinator who put those vids together, sadly past away in september this year, the cars are both still alive with the yellow mk4 currently home to a 3ltr durutec turbo The ameysht mk4.. owned by Gaz is now dead and gone The amalfi blue one with all the screens and chrome(GWC) is now dead and gone The white mk4 owned by Jonny B is now also gone The Red Mk4 owned by fromer southwest coordinator is belived still about but no longer owned by him The White tiger striped mk3 is still alive and living over on the otherside The Grey mk3 (minter) owned by RB16i is still about and regulary doing XR concourse apperances The black mk6 owned by Daz/enzo is still about but in a poor state The green MK6 in the first vid is now pink and livin in essex The multi colured/flik mk4 owned by Andy is now to also dead and gone The other 2 red cabs that appered at rockingham are now both dead (the 1 with the large club logo on the bonnet was mine, the other owned by former east mids corordinator), and I belive the blue/white hood RS 2k is dead aswell and lastly my own cab D630 is no longer on the road after cam faliure wrecked the head and promptly killed my passion for rag tops

  3. Mk5 cvh/ zetec will bolt on fine, think theres a diffence in plugs as ones a bosh n the other lucas setup.. Can you not put a 10mm on the orignial and tighten it up?
  4. Is the blue wire still in 1 piece?.. do you have a batery light when you turn the ignition on?..Id Check battery terminals for tightness, blue wire to sarter as this is the live power feed.. as sounds like its not getting a charge and the engines running of the battery
  5. Sounds like you.ve missed an earth out/brokern 1 along the way.. double check the starter as the main cable may have come loose too
  6. just visit any paintshop, give them the code and they should be able to mix up a few litres. most charge round 20quid a litre.

  8. Theres been plenty of talk about fitting 3 point up and over belts.. 1 idea is that the belt real is bolted behind the rear seat, and the belt fed up through the seat back itself.. however that would only work if the person/childs shoulders where lower than height of the rear seat back.

    IIRC! if it makes no diffrence then its bust..as its not regulating the air supply.it should cut out or change idle rate..its.effectivly like running a carb with the air filter pan off..

    sounds like ya MAF's playing up... located just on the intacke..unplug it and see if it makes any diffrence to how the car runs..
  11. Put is this way i used 5w 30 as flushing oil when doing a service.. you can do it on 15/50 depending on how fresh (rebuilt) the engine is,,but otherwise stick to 10w 40..
  12. Oils going to bugger oil..it'll be that thin As for the sump.. apply the seal to the block as oppesed to the sump.. damm site easier than getting it to stick to the pan as eleminates the risk of moving it when tightening back
  13. do you mean the plastic 3 pronged bit or the actual strap?.. Ford no longer stock either but if your handy with a sowing machine then a clasp from an old rucksack/backpack is exactly the same fit.. what i used when i crushed mine

  16. The tacho.. This is fed by the live feed of the coil, have a look around and make sure all wires are complete and secure.. It may also be a loose connection in the dial set (does the needle move at all?)..remove the clock andcheck everything is plugged in The oil leek may be caused by the distributor O ring seal being perished. It leaks as oil is forced up into the rockers..easy enough fix just unbolt the distriubutor and refit a new seal The second brown plug looks to be a cold start valve plug. To the left On the inlet there should be 3 small breather pipes, just under them is the cold start valve switch..check to see that there is a connection on there and if not if that 1 reaches
  17. fuel pump is indeed just up behind the rear wheel arch.. just check it for a good constant 12volts when its running
  18. The cutting out sounds to me like your fuel pump relay or pump is playing up(relay is the pink/purple one under the dash drivers side).. It may be over heating and shorting out. Can you here the pump prime (buzz when you turn the ignition?) By fitting do you mean its reluctant to go into gear or to stay in gear?.. this could be down to a few things but id start by checking the cluth cable.. need more info Roof wise you can adjust the windows on there regulator to get them to track up to diffrent hight but other wise its a pretty common cab folly
  19. All cvh's were lead free after 84 if i rememeber right (when they launched the mk4 escort).. some folk add an octain booster or such but tnh given the age of the engine your not going to notice any huge performance diffrence

Ive always been under the belif that "rat" is the last ever look a car should have.. as in Rat it then scrap it which is why i was suprised when you said it had only got 68k on it just seems a bit unkind Btw the barrow did make me LOL..n like lee said im suprised ole bill aint asked for there cone back either
  23. Ill admit im a fan of rat but IMHO..that just looks like unclean felcia, Im guessing the barrow on the roof is used for work purposes n isnt just there for looks?.. Maybe given to deteriate it may look better but for now like chaz said..Poor skoda
